Hi, I just bought a new laptop and have been using it a few days when today while playing World of Warcraft and listening to DI.FM on my browser it crashed. I was able to reproduce this a few times with the same conditions. I am hoping you can help me figure out what is causing this issue. Thanks.

Is there any particular reason that you are not using UEFI or Secure Boot?
In general this model comes with UEFI and Secure Boot enabled.

Have you set the time and time zone on your system? (the flag on your profile says Minnesota, but the time is set to Pacific Daylight time).

The system also comes with a 1 tB HDD, but now has an SSD installed - did you have someone install the SSD and move the operating system for you? (We do this at work quite often - normally we do it by cloning the hard drive to the SSD).

I'd suggest running a memory diagnostic, as one of the memory dumps has an error that is suggestive of memory problems (hardware): Memory Diagnostics You may also want to run the free hardware diagnostics from here: Hardware Diagnostics

Beyond that, I'd suggest visiting the Asus website and updating ALL of the drivers there.
To start with, go by the dates on the drivers in the memory dump that I've listed below.

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

I'm not sure about UEFI but I disabled Secure Boot when I installed the new SSD. I can't remember now where I saw that said to do that, but I was trying to clean install windows on the new SSD and I couldn't get it to boot off of my USB drive and it said to disable it. Not sure why the time zone was set to PDT, fixed that now. I installed the new SSD according to this guide ASUS G750JM Windows 8.1 clean install guide - Tweak Arena Forums

I used the ASUS site to update the drivers when I clean installed.

I'll run the diagnostics now, wondering if I should wipe the SSD and just clone the old HDD over?

I've done 4 or 5 of these by cloning. All but one were Intel SSD's (the other was an HP SSD and I didn't check the actual manufacturer). On the Intel's we used the Intel cloning software - and on the HP we used the included Acronis software.
None have come back with problems yet (knock on wood!).

If you do the cloning, make sure that you enable UEFI and SecureBoot (Win8/8.1 and these systems were designed for it).

I took a quick look at the link you used - it seems that the writer put a lot of thought into it and it includes most of the stuff I'd have thought of.
I can't tell if anything is missing, as I haven't tried it this way myself.

Still, I prefer the clone as it ensures that you have all originally installed drivers - and (luckily) Windows is intelligent enough to cope with the differences in HDD's vs SSD's. Especially with Asus boards and Intel chipsets, it's hard to tell exactly which drivers/software are needed/critical and which aren't.

Frankly, now's the time to do this (clone it) - it's not going to be any easier for you once you've had the system for a while.
Don't forget to maintain a copy so that you can re-clone/install if needed.
Once you're happy with the installation, then you can reclaim the space that the clone copy occupies.

Good luck!
