Hi,

Hopefully someone can help me out. I constantly have my laptop restarted when I walk away from it for a bit, it's been happening for the last couple of months now. On the occasions that I have caught it restarting I saw a glimpse of the BSOD. The last error mesage that I saw on BSOD was MEMORY_MANAGEMENT.

Thanks!

My Computer

System One

  • OS
    Windows 8.1
This device has problems in Device Manager:
USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller ROOT\UOIP_BUS_DRIVER\0000 This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.
Please locate it in Device Manager, right click on it and select "Uninstall" When done, reboot the system and see if it comes back with an error (or not). Please let us know the results.

These errors seem to be primarily caused by hardware - so I'd start with these free diagnostics: Initial Hardware Diagnostics

Beyond that, Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

SMARTVTabletPCx64.sys Wed Nov 10 10:15:46 2010 (4CDAB722)
most likely belongs to SMART Virtual Tablet PC program
Driver for SMART Virtual TabletPC HID Device

SMARTVTabletPCx64.sys - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed.

CLVirtualDrive.sys Mon Dec 26 08:26:47 2011 (4EF87617)
CyberLink Virtual Device Driver
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=CLVirtualDrive.sys

semav6thermal64ro.sys Wed Dec 28 15:17:03 2011 (4EFB793F)
I believe that this is the SEMA software that controls the thermal stuff on VAIO computers
semav6thermal64ro.sys - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed.

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web.

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics. Let us know the results and we can move on from there.
