Random BSOD on fresh install

Just reinstalled windows 8 on my desktop and started to receive random bsod.
Oh and Yes I know windows 8.1 is out. I downgraded due to BSOD issues on that version also. Yes I also know my windows 8 is out dated. I understand I should update but that's the least of my concerns right now.
I already had 1 ram card fail on me a couple months back. But I didn't recognize this blue screen error.

EDIT: I was reading this guys post http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...ocess-died-even-after-complete-reinstall.html and his issue is exactly like I am having. My computer would just completely freeze while playing games or watching videos online.

EDIT (Again): I Just tried to run Memtest86+ and something strange happened. So here's what I did. First I download the Memtest86+ USB Installer. Turned off my computer and put my other 2 rams cards back in (I was testing one at a time). Started up my computer (HP) and press ESC to go into the boot menu and the computer just froze on that screen. It wouldn't do anything. So I turned the computer off and tried another option F10 I think it was. The computer froze again. I repeated this process for all boot options on my PC and each time the computer froze on the startup screen. Any idea why this would happen?

Hello Russel, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Please read the instructions here: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions, and post back with the needed information. One of our BSOD experts should be by afterwards to further help. :)

No idea about the MemTest paragraph.
Did you ever get to run MemTest? Was it run from the USB

Only 108 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 160 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

I do not recommend using wireless USB network devices. Especially in Win7/Win8/8.1 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7 and later - using Vista drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have Win7/Win8/8.1 drivers - DO NOT use Vista drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.
It should be noted that these types of errors have been markedly less frequent over the last several months. It suggests to me that there may have been advances recently that increased the reliability of these devices (and, FWIW, my son is using one now for gaming and it works just fine for him).

Why are you using the Wireless USB device when you have a wireless card already in the system?

Your BIOS dates from 2010. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Ensure that your system/motherboard are certified to be Win8/8.1 compatible. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

The lone memory dump seems to blame video. Please be sure to replace your current video drivers with a freshly downloaded copy.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

I am using a wireless USB and have been since windows 7 because the antenna for the card broke less a week after I bought the computer.
(The netgear wireless USB already released a windows 8 and 8.1 driver)
I use a netgear wireless USB and I never even heard of the Broadcom USB until now. I'll just uninstall those 2 you mention I need to update since I don't even use those.
As for the BIOS I don't think that was the problem since I've been running windows 8 since the preview came out. But I attempted to locate the update for the BIOS and on the HP® Official Site | Laptop Computers, Desktops, Printers, Servers, Services and more site my computer model doesn't even have an option for windows 8. Any ideas?

Yes I've got ideas, but you're probably not going to like it.
Although the system seemed to run properly from the preview on, I'd guess that it isn't Win8/8.1 compatible.
HP not supporting that OS on this system tends to confirm that.

As the OS matures, there are changes made to it. And those changes, it appears, have affected your system.
I would strongly suggest that you get ALL Windows Updates as (IMO) that is most likely to help you.

Beyond that, I will continue to analyze your reports and make suggestions - but there comes a point where you have to decide if it's a compatibility issue or not. The reason for this is that fixing compatibility issues is likely to be possible - but it will cost you way, way more than a new system (or several new systems) to have the drivers redesigned. And, you'll pay for this up front - even if the driver can't be redesigned for your system.

Well before I did a fresh install I had windows 8.1 with all updates and that was actually the first time I ever seen the BSOD issue I am having now.

So you're saying I should just buy a new computer? You sure its not part of my computer failing? Sorry asking but I am trying everything in my power to not buy a new computer

No, I'm saying that you should try the stuff suggested here.
Then, at some point, you'll have to decide if it's worth spending more time on or not.

I can't tell you when to make that decision, nor can I tell you to spend your own money.
That's your choice.
I provide suggestions and, hopefully, you are able to make decisions based on that.

Finally, this is a judgement call - not a definite conclusion.
So it's also possible that I may be wrong in my suggestions.
