Hi!

I'm having a BSOD (attempting to switch from DPc) error message.

I've attached the minidumps.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance

Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum): http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

Using Win8.1 on a system with a BIOS that dates from 2009 may be problematic:
Your BIOS dates from 2009. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

Are you using NotMyFault by Mark Russinovich? If so, please stop and remove it from your system.
It's supposed to cause BSOD's and it messes with the results of my analysis.

The rest of the dumps blame:
EMS7SK.sys
ESD7SK.sys
Both are driver components of your Memory Card/Stick Reader
The drivers date from 2007, so they're likely not compatible with Win8.1
Please:
- download a fresh copy of the latest, Win8.1 compatible drivers for this device from the manufacturer's website
- uninstall the current drivers for this device from your system
- install the freshly downloaded drivers
- monitor for further BSOD's

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disk-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Thanks for the help.

I have uninstalled those drivers (I think), but it still crashes on hibernation. It's true that I have used once the notmyfault software to check if it would detect the problem.

The new dumps are attached

This is the second time that I've asked for this info. If you choose not to provide it, please understand that it may not be possible for me to fix your issues. Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum): http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

[DEL]Gaming mouse drivers are still blamed and still date from 2007.
Remove them (and the software for the gaming mouse) to see what happens (the mouse should still work without the Asus software - it'll use generic Windows drivers).[/DEL]

Crud!!! Sorry, I was working on 2 systems at once and got mixed up!!!
Here's the correct statement:
Card Reader drivers are still blamed and still date from 2007.
Ensure that you get the latest, Win8.1 compatible drivers for this device.
If there are no compatible drivers, then I'd suggest physically removing this device from your system (if possible).
If not possible, then disable in the BIOS.
If not possible, then disable in Device Manager and remove the drivers.
