MasterChief, by the way, thank you for your time. It is tedious as I am not using my machine anymore to communicate with you. I will try to get into the Bios and see is there is some default settings. Anyways, the unit now has gone dead and boots only on the blue screen even through safe mode.

Ok, so I have move a bit forward. Find attached 3 dump files. It seems that the crash has been happening because of:
    nsiproxy.sys and WdFilter.sys.
Please do have a look at the dump and let me know what you think would be my best course of action.
Again thank you for all your time and kindness. Hopefully I will be up and running very soon

Ok. Uninstall VMWare in safe mode.

If you can't, then delete C:\Windows\System32\drivers\hcmon.sys

Open Regedit. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services and then delete the subkey for that driver (you might have to hunt a little to find the correct one).

Reboot to normal mode and then uninstall VMWare.

When you get to normal mode, update ASUS AI USB Charger and ATK and/or Probe II - all in Downloads/Utilities at ASUS site for your mdoel.

    Enjoy.

I have uninstall vmware and anything relating to hcmon in the registry but still no dice. I still get unexpected kernel mode trap and the unit is rebooting the BSOD That is becoming really tedious. Windows is just not for novice.

Probably did not accomplish above well.

Ok. You did the hcmon part well, so good.

USB 3.0 driver is still crashing too now though.

    So delete: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\USBXHCI.SYS

Then also delete the subkey for USBXHCI.SYS in same location as before.

Reboot to normal mode and take care of that ASUS stuff, along with uninstalling the VM software.

    Uninstall Acronis software.

    It'll be fine.

Ok so I think I am almost there. I am not seeing the blue screen any more so I guess that is good news. I am crossing my fingers as we speak I have lost the use of my USB ports so I deleted the driver. How can I reinstall that driver ? Or more precisely, where can I get the driver ? It seems many people have issue with that driver and there is no driver ready for Win 8.1. Its the USB 3.0 Intel eXtensible Host Controller: iusb3hub.infiusb3xhc.infI have looked on Intel WebSite but there is no mention of Win 8.1.https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sea...ler+DriverThen I tried to follow this how to but to no avail. http://plugable.com/2012/12/01/windo...ntrollersAgain thank you for taking the time, its much appreciated.

Well, one thing at a time is best I think. Is the system perfectly stable now?

It seems like it is. I have seen some crash (Yellow color so not critical) of drivers not being compliant with verifier. I do not remember exactly but when I was working on the rig yesterday, I figured that is what was causing all the drivers to crash (a stab in the dark so don't quote me on that). Anyways, I rebooted a couple of times and no more blue screen of death .
So I would say the rig is stable again.
