Widespread memory related BSOD?

Hi there

I have a new laptop and am trying to work out the kinks

Its a new Windows 8.1 build. But seems to be causing all kinds of problems. And honestly i'm not sure where to start trying to fix it. I think its driver related but have tried updating a few drivers with varying success (as even this has led to some BSODs)

Attached are the more recent log files. Any help gratefully appreciated!

Many thanks!

Hi,

We're very likely looking at poor RAM settings and/or overclocking of RAM or CPU.

Please attach a screenshot of CPU-Z first tab, one of Memory tab and one each for each stick of RAM of the SPD tab.

We also need to take care of some drivers, in case that is not it.

This absolutely needs to be updated from VIA's site for the HD Audio:

VMfilt64 VMfilt64.sys Thu Jul 30 23:40:32 2009 (4A7267B0)

Update from Realtek's site for the card reader:

RtsBaStor RtsBaStor.sys Fri Dec 07 01:54:18 2012 (50C1929A)

Do this method for your Qualcomm gaming LAN:

MSI USA

Update this (It is typically an ASUS driver for Hotkey and/or Power Management - not sure why it is on your machine at all):

AsIO AsIO.sys Wed Aug 22 05:54:47 2012 (5034AC67) <<< ATK or Probe II

And update bios to newest.

But want my REAL advice? Return the machine for a refund and purchase from a better company. We will still do our best to see what we can see, especially involving RAM.

Screenshots are good and RAM is set well.

Clevo is a lesser-known name and they tend to have issues I suppose, when all drivers and settings check out well. (Can you even get bios updates directly from them? Not sure about it.)

But yup - check on those drivers as shown above. Hopefully the updates bring stability.

Thanks. Disabling the Killer app information (your MSI link) has already improved stability noticeably

Working way through other hidden drivers I may need to update and getting Bios sorted
