BSOD Windows 8.1 Kernel Security Check Failure Mem upgrade

After upgrading from 4gb OEM RAM to 8gb Corsair CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9 I get BSOD with kernel_security_check_failure message just as Windows attempts to load. This happens with memory sticks in either slot. Testing memory with Memtest continually hangs on test #2. Memory was tested with Memtest in another computer and no errors were found. Incompatible memory or something else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

Set bios for the proper frequency, timings and VDIMM for new memory.

If you're using old RAM WITH new RAM, just use new RAM.

Uninstall Avast! and set Windows Firewall and Windows Defender to Automatic.

    Enjoy.

    I'm using all new memory.

No change. Sadly the notebook doesn't have an option in the BIOS to change memory settings either.

Any other advice besides exchange the memory for a different type?

Nope. Uninstalled Avast, Windows Firewall and Defender are running. Still the same BSOD.

Ok, because it was crashing on you before.

Best to look online about which compatible memory modules are and purchase that. Don't purchase based on speed. It makes no difference. In fact, 4 GB is more than enough usually too. Upgrade to 8 GB is ok I suppose, if you do heavy video encoding or the like.
