Solved Very randomly occurring BSOD with different error codes

Hello people!

I really need help with this problem which I'm unable to do myself.

Problem is:
My computer Bluescreens very randomly without giving much information on what caused it.
I can sometimes go a full day without a single bsod and somedays I get 10 within 30 mins. Only connection I've (maybe) figured out is that all these bsod's seem to happen when my comp is connected to internet and either downloading something or sending something. Like when I log into games and try to connect into a server i get bsod...or if I don't I can play that game for hours only to get the bsod when I quit game and return to desktop.
Sometimes using chrome just to browse web or switching tracks on spotify can cause issues aswell.

My computer was first bought and build around 2012 with some upgrades such as more ram and new GPU. I've ran this comp with a stable OC of 4.0/4.0 and never before having any problems with either my system heating up or freezing. Now I've returned to stock clocks to rule out any unstable oc.

I'v done pretty much all i know about debugging and trying to figure out which programs/drivers/hardware are causing my system to be so randomly unstable. My head keeps telling me this is some driver related cause it started what seems to be "all of a sudden"

Things I've done:
Return stock OC
Ran memtest for 14 passes = 0 errors
Ran Prime for ~4 hours = 0 errors and temps maxed at 60 c

Bought a new set of ram
bought a new ssd (samsung)
installed windows
bios reset
reseat/ re cable everything but the cpu (didn't have thermal paste to do this)
chkdsk = no issues
sfc scannow = no issues

So I'm pretty much counting on you guys to join me on this!
All dumps and info can be found on attachment.

Hi,

Issue is RAM not configured well in bios and/or overclock. Please attach a screenshot of CPU-Z first tab, one of Memory tab and one each for each stick of RAM of the SPD tab.

Ok, you are using mismatched memory.

Physically remove the PC3-10700 modules from slots 1 & 3.

Your CPU speed changes with the load. So how it is showing very underclocked at the time of screenshots is of no concern. A little concern is that it shows that it can go up to multiplier 59 and that would make the CPU work at ~5.9 GHz which is crazy.

So, remove the modules as above - and if issues persist (likely not) - then disable Turbo in bios.

Enjoy.

I will remove ones you pointed out when I get home.

One thing I do not understand though is how cant memory be mismatch when it's exactly same according to text on top of packaging.?

On top of that I think my ATtempt on removing oc resulted in that multiplayer go skyhigh. I will also double check that when I get home.

Will post results later tonight

Can't say. That's something you'll have to take up with Kingston, if interested to.

All I know is that I see two different types of RAM in use and removing the slower 10700 will bring stability, since I knew there was a RAM issue upon opening your latest crash dump, within 2-3 seconds. (All drivers are ok, but you should install Realtek HD audio driver from their site since you only are using MS version.)

Back home!

Did what you told me (removed ram from 1 and 3) rebooted and installed audio drivers from asus website. Went online while listening music and browsing....bsod.

Back to bios to disable turbo on cpu and reboot-> went online with spotify open...bsod...:/

I feel like if I have more than 1 program open I get crashes more often.

Memory is still the issue. CPU-Z screenshots, same as before, please.

In addition, you might test the system with both Razer hardware and software removed.

This is not causing crashes, but good to update anyhow. Intel Management Engine driver, from their site:

Morning

uninstalled razer synapsis (whatever the name was) and hooked my old mouse in-> restart -> went internet to watch a news stream -> bsod. I needed to switch back to my razer since the older one has a broken mouse 2nd button.

Restart machine and my computer can stay on untill I decide to go see that very same stream online. Does it have something to do with video+sound+internet ?

Dumps attached

Edit: cpu screenshots added

Ram timings and voltage set accordingly. Should I also tune my ram speed down from 1600mhz?
Also is there any difference in using command mode 1 or 2?

With those settings I was able to use my computer for few hours without problem until in the middle of a youtube video I got bsod. This time minidump was corrupted and couldn't open or be zipped so I can't post it here.

Will post new dumps after I get another crash.

EDIT: So crashed again while watching youtube. this time I got a working dump

That's "command rate" - um, ya, set it to 2T.

No, 800 MHz in CPU-Z (1600 MHz effective) should be good for that RAM but if you must try something, lower it to 667/1333 effective.

For good measure, you can post any new crashes just to verify I did not miss anything and you did everything well too.

Edit: Ya, all drivers are good now for sure. Try what I just said about speed (you will not even notice ANY difference) but it could also be that RAM is defective. If it crashes more like that, contact company for replacement.

You could also inspect your motherboard to ensure that there are no leaking capacitors, especially near the CPU. Also, if they are electrolytic, they should NOT have rounded tops. They should be perfectly flat.

Hello again.

I pulled my motherboard out from my case as a last resort to see if I have any blown capacitors. Everything seemed to be the way they should. After building all pieces together I hoped for the best and turned on my comp only to see another bsod pretty much right away.

Out of curiosity I read my motherboards manual and found compatible ram section and funny thing is...my kingston is not listed there...its close. Then searching web for more info I found out there are indeed others with exact same memory sticks with similar problems on an asus board.

Made a decision to order a new motherboard and maybe new set of ram (maybe stay away from these brands). If you have any good recommendations I would happily like to hear.

I will mark this post "solved" and would like to thank you so much for your time trying to help me out. You're awesome! Thank you.

You're welcome.

You can never go wrong with ASUS. That's my favorite brand of motherboard, although I have never owned one myself. Thrown some middle-of-the-road normal RAM in there. Nothing fancy. Best bet.
