Apps Crashing to Metro UI Upon Opening

I am having a problem posted by another user, but the solution did not solve my problem. Whenever I booted up for the first time, any of the Apps I tried to open up from the Metro UI opened and showed the proper icon, then just crashed back to the Metro UI. It was affecting most of the Apps in the Metro screen, but I was able to reinstall most of them using the Store. However, now the only one that I can not open is "More PC Settings" in the Settings Charm. It opens up the screen with the gear icon, then just crashes back to the Metro screen.

I never ran CCleaner or anything (that was the other users problem). I went to the path C:/ProgramData/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs as described in the other issue and see the file "PC Settings.lnk", however whenever I click on the PC Settings.lnk, it doesn't do anything. When I look at the Properties, the Target says "nopath" or something like that.

I have searched this issue and all I have really found is to change my screen resolution, make sure that my adapter driver is installed, and change the UAC settings. I have tried all of this and nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions, besides reinstalling?

My PCSettings short cut in the same location doesn't do anything either.

I went ahead and reinstalled Windows 8.

Before I did, I created a local account that did not use a Windows Live account and the PC Settings worked fine, but still did not work on my original profile that used my Windows Live account.

I upgraded from the Developers Preview so I am wondering if that is what caused the error.

So my problem is "solved" but I will go ahead and leave this thread open for other people who might be having trouble to get help.
