Hmm yeah you're right. Although I think it's supposed to boost it's performance during load to about 3.4 Ghz. Still very strange that it's at 3.3 when I'm not even doing anything special. Do you know if there's something I can do about this? I haven't changed any settings at all that has to do with my CPU.

EDIT: I downloaded an Intel Turbo boost software and it shows that my processor is only going up to 3.4 when needed. The reason why it is 3.3 in that picture is because my laptop is in perfomance mode. When I put it in power saving it goes down to 700 Mhz.

As a test, I suggest that you disable Turbo boost in the bios and when the machine is stable, you can base your decisions from there.

My laptop didn't have an option to turn the turbo boost off in the bios... :/

Set your Windows power plan to 99% max for CPU and any number less than 99% for min CPU.

Make sure you do for plugged in and not plugged in too.

Thanks, that worked. I'll see if it still crashes and then I'll get back to you. Thanks a lot

This did unfortunately not help either. The processor was at 2.4Ghz and was not overheating and the laptop still crashed. This is driving me nuts... Any other ideas? >.<

Did you disable your antivirus software, before you installed or tried to install driver"s ? If no that's a must and probably why the one won't install. The antivirus software is blocking the install. Also upload any Minidump files you have. They'll be located in C:\Windows\Minidump.

Yes I did disable it before I installed but that particular file still didn't update... Here's the minidump file.

No, that is untrue. If any driver was an issue, I would have said so.

@Mydnite: Set your command rate to 2t and if it still crashes, RMA the RAM.

Alright will do. Thanks a lot for your help. Is there any chance you could give me a brief instruction on how to change it to 2t?

EDIT: It appears that my limited laptop BIOS wont let me change that either. So I guess I don't have much of a choice but to RMA then... :/
