BSOD mainly in games, sometimes random

I've also had problems with random BSOD and shutdowns lately, mainly while playing BF4, but also while surfing/idling etc. (BF4 seemed to be a sure way to crash within relatively short time, less than half an hour or so consistently). My first concern was the ram, so I tried running the game with only one module (4GB), with no problems. No crashes whatsoever. When I insert two modules it crashes. I've ran all modules separately in Memtest86 for about 10 hours with no errors.

I've also had the BSOD with 'Kernel sequrity check failed', as well as 'Kmode exception not handled'.

Maybe you should try to play the game with only one memory module also, to see if you get the same result as me?

Did you test slots? Could be bad motherboard or just unfortunate that tests yet have not showed defect in RAM.

A slight bump up in VDIMM may help, when using all RAM, especially if some capacitors are starting to fail.

I have tested all the modules on the first slot, so at least the modules seem to be ok. I haven't had time to test all the slots yet, but I plan to run one of the modules on the second slot tonight, and the third slot during work tomorrow. I'm pretty sure the tests won't fail. Haven't tried to raise the voltage, but I'll try later today to play BF4 with two modules (which causes the computer to crash) and command rate 2T and higher voltage. The modules are rated for 1.5V, how much should I raise it?

Just for information; my computer worked fine untill my daughter one day last week started to turn it on/off many times repeatedly. Perhaps it blew some of the caps?

OK, I played some other game and it crashed so i done as You said and changed RAM timing to 9-9-9-24 and i changed DRAM Voltage to 1,59 because there was a choice beetwen 1,53 and 1,59. Sadly it happened again but not BSOD but screen freeze and that familiar constant beeping in headphones so i had to manually reset PC, and there was no dmp file... You think I should test more and bring some .dmp ??

You can post latest crash dump just for verification, but also, contact company for replacement RAM.

As long as all drivers are "clean", RAM is #1 likely suspect. Worst case scenario: You end up with "new" RAM and can take things from there.

Also, update bios to latest if not already.

It can't hurt to check voltages with Speccy to see if they are in spec. You can check temperatures too with Speedfan to ensure they are in spec.

Voltages and temperatures OK,Im attaching dmp but i found out in Blue Screen Viewer that along with ntoskrnl.exe is nvlddmkm.sys in red color; (which is nviia kernel mode driver); that i had but i reinstalled graphic driver before and it worked, dunno why its popping out again :/ ...

When you get new RAM from the company, just install and set the motherboard to Optimized Defaults in the bios.

It's also probably a good idea to double-check that the precise modules are compatible with the motherboard. Should be, but you never know. In that case, ask the company for something else that is compatible.
