    BSOD - DPC_Watchdog_Violation

Hi I have been receiving a number of BSOD on Windows 8.1, usually when resuming from sleep. I have installed all drivers from Asus website and checked all other drivers are up to date and I am now at a loss. I have tried a fresh install but still the BSOD's continue to plague me. Can anyone help? I have attached my dump files.

    Hey,

Update ASUS AI USB Charger software, in Downloads/Utilities section of their site for your model. You will probably have to look to Windows 7 for latest:

    AiCharger AiCharger.sys Thu Mar 22 04:07:51 2012 (4F6ADDD7)

Same exact download location for the ATK package (Win7 may be latest, just like before):

    AsUpIO AsUpIO.sys Mon Aug 02 22:47:59 2010 (4C57835F)

Uninstall the software that owns this driver (probably UltraISO), then replace it by installing PowerISO:

    ISODrv64 ISODrv64.sys Thu Jan 28 22:39:02 2010 (4B625856)

That should all do the trick. If any problems remain, uninstall Kaspersky and set Windows Firewall and Windows Defender to Automatic.

    Enjoy.

Thanks, I'll remove those drivers and see what happens. Kaspersky is not causing issues on my other windows 8 machines, so hopefully this isn't the issue as I only recently renewed the license (2 years!). Trying too see when I've installed stuff as after fresh install went a week without issues, I'll check to see if any of the drivers mentioned were installed just before the issue started.

I've un-installed the suggested drivers, will wait any see if that solves it.

Whilst looking though when I've installed stuff, the first 2 (both Asus) were installed 23/01 and I didn't get the first BSOD until 02/02. These are the latest drivers from Asus, AiCharger is listed under Windows 8 and the AI Suite is listed under Windows 8.1.

UltraISO was installed after the first BSOD (03/02). I installed Kaspersky 30/01, so was ok for a few days after that. The only program installed 02/02 was Stablebit Drivepool, so I've also un-installed this for the time being aswell.

Ok, all I ask is that before posting new crash dumps again like most people that don't follow advice end up doing, please complete all advice.

Another way to say it is: You won't need to post attachment again if you follow advice.

    So, enjoy and you're welcome.

I removed the items listed above, but still received the watchdog errors, and then I received a BSOD relating to irst. So I remove the irst drivers and for the last 5 days I've had no issues. I wasn't using RAID anyway, so will stick with the default sata drivers for now. I will continue to monitor it and may try and reinstall the Asus drivers a later date and see if I get the issues again, I also have an updated version of Ultra ISO which I may also try again at some point. Thanks for your help.
