Solved Random BSOD shortly after clean install of Win 8.1

hey all,

I had a random BSOD after a clean install of Windows 8.1 (non pro 64bit). I installed a couple of web browsers and a version of Photoshop then had the BSOD. So far it's just been this single one since my new installation. I've been battling some more frequent random BSODs in the past running Windows 7. I believed I pinpointed it to a Raid 0 set up I was running with 2 SSDs (Sandisk extreme 120gb's). I'm now down to using one of those SSDs as my OS boot drive.

Thanks for any help!

Thanks for your response ectech! I don't have Bitdefender installed. I updated the Intel MEI driver and removed ad-aware & restarted.

I then left my computer alone and I experienced another BSOD...

Remove BitDefender if you haven't already.. Uninstall Bitdefender

Update Intel Management Engine from the Manufacturers website.

Remove Ad-aware

I looked over your attachment before. You surely do have BD installed, or at least once did. (I tried to give rep to EC for it but the system wouldn't let me because I did already for something else.)

Use the removal tool for it. Download from them.

Edit: Ok, looks like your system is now clean of the BD drivers. Perhaps it was part of what you already uninstalled, instead....at least I might think, heh.

You have some RAM funk going on (or defective) - please attach a screenshot of the first tab of CPU-Z, the Memory tab, and one for each stick of RAM of SPD tab.

That's really strange. Never even heard of BD before this afternoon. The only anti virus/malware programs I used in the past 2 years were MS Security Essentials, Adaware and Malwarebytes. I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall programs and looked at it's Trace Programs features and it's blank.

Well, you didn't post for all sticks but doesn't matter. The RAM is overclocked and that is causing bsods.

Set for 800 MHz frequency instead of 833 MHz and set the timings 9-9-9-24.
