    Hi. (Win 7, huh? )

Yes, if the video driver is not in exact state from NVIDIA.com, uninstall then install from there. If it is, then good.

Update ATK from Downloads/Utilities at motherboard site:

    ASMMAP64 ASMMAP64.sys Thu Jul 02 05:13:26 2009 (4A4C7A36)

    Update Realtek HD Audio driver:

    RTKVHD64 RTKVHD64.sys Tue May 22 06:19:20 2012 (4FBB6828)

Update Intel storage driver from Intel.com:

    iaStor iaStor.sys Tue Apr 26 14:06:18 2011 (4DB7099A)

If overclocking anything, set default speeds.

If any issues persist, install the video driver package from ASUS for both the Intel/NVIDIA switchable graphics. Clean fan(s) if necessary.

Hello, thanks for the quick reply

I went to the page you sent me for Updating realtek, I ticked the box clicked next and it brings me to a page which say object moved (here) i clicked (here) and brought me to the same page
Searched Intel Storage Driver from Intel I only found Intel Rapid Storage Technology I'm also not sure if it's this one
    I'm sure I didn't overclock anything

searched video driver package for ASUS ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download A43SD should I download all of them?
went to Intel support it's all up to date
Product Detected Intel® HD Graphics 3000
    Current Driver Installed 9.17.10.3347
    Your driver is current.

Which laptop do you have, exactly?

You shouldn't have that asmmap64.sys installed at all then, if it is not an ASUS model.

After you tell me, we'll see about things.

Ok, then ya (when I said motherboard, really meant laptop maker - not actual motherboard, heh)

...install Version V1.0.0031 of the ATK package at ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download ATKPackage

Search Intel.com downloads for "Inf" and install the latest package. Install latest IRST from there too.

    Realtek Audio: Realtek

Uninstall original ATK package first, then install new.

Yes, that's correct for INF. For IRST, just download and run SetupRST.exe.

    You're welcome.

Double check in Device Manager that new audio driver is installed. All the time, people mess that up and don't follow what it says to get it installed well.
