SevenForums BSoD Tool dump attached.

Windows 8 Pro PC, looks like it's having SSD / Driver issues.

SSD is a Sandisk Extreme 120GB, latest firmware, using default windows drivers.

What's been attempted so far:

1. Power management of SSD turned off.
2. SSD checked to be on latest firmware.
3. DISM Healthcheck and SFC check. - No issues.
4. MemTest (HP's and Microsoft's own, since it's a UEFI booting machine) - No issues.

5. Windows Updates all installed last night, no idea whether that's helping or not yet.

Errors have varied between:
dpc_watchdog_violation
Driver_Power_state_failure
and a couple of others.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Crash was in vmswitch.sys.

Uninstall Kaspersky, Set Windows Firewall and Windows Defender to Automatic and start them too.

Update or uninstall:

GemCCID.sys Mon Aug 10 08:07:39 2009 (4A800D8B)

Update from Intel.com:

iaStorA iaStorA.sys Tue Sep 18 18:46:10 2012 (5058F9B2)
igdkmd64 igdkmd64.sys Wed Dec 12 19:42:26 2012 (50C92472)

If any issues persist, uninstall HP ProtectTools, reboot.

If issues still persist, we will look at hardware.

Many thanks!

It seems the existing GemCCID driver was a beta version, so I'll update that first before proceeding further.

No idea why it would start now though, given there's no major changes and the driver dates back to 2009.
