Random BSOD, BAD_POOL_HEADER and others Windows 8.1 x64

    Hey all,

I have been trying to diagnose these random BSOD's that I have been receiving, they don't happen during any specific procedure, just random.

I diagnosed one as being an outdated driver for my Network adapter so I have updated the driver, now I am getting other random ones.

I have attached the SF_Diagnostic file thing as advised in the guidelines.

Would be every grateful for any suggestions.

    Thanks, Terry

    Hi,

Uninstall Avast, set Windows Defender and Windows Firewall to Automatic and start them too.

Hi thanks for that. DO you think Avast is the culprit, cost me $50 for it

Probably not, but for testing purposes we always suggest removing Avast!

I take that back, the bsod was actually caused by Avast.

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for aswSP.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for aswSP.sys
    Probably caused by : aswSP.sys ( aswSP+33d7e )
