    BSOD while browsing, errors: 0x000000d1 + 0x1000007e

Hi, I keep getting random BSODs while browsing the web, especially when opening images. I use Google Chrome and Firefox. I also sometimes get BSODs sometimes while gaming.

The approximate time I started getting BSODs is after the breaker in my apartment jumped and the PC got shut down. I've looked over the hardware but everything seemed fine.

I've included a SF Diag tool log (it contains several minidumps from over the last few weeks).

Can someone help me solve this please? One thing to note, I do not have the Windows 8 install disk with me as I'm a student away from home right now. Also, the PC is a custom rig, I'm not sure if that has something to do with the BSODs or not.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Uninstall AVG. Set Windows Firewall + Windows Defender to Automatic.

Uninstall Daemon Tools Lite, replace with PowerISO.

    Delete:

    Code:
    0: kd> lmvm GEARAspiWDM
    start end module name
    fffff800`032b0000 fffff800`032b6c00 GEARAspiWDM (deferred)
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\GEARAspiWDM.sys
        Image name: GEARAspiWDM.sys

        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Open Regedit, then find its subket at the following location, delete:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services

    Reboot.

Do the same process for this driver/Regedit:

    Code:
    0: kd> lmvm Sentinel64
    start end module name

Hi, I'm sorry, but could you please expand on the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services" a bit? I'm not sure what you mean by delete that, and how do I access it?

Also, I'm just suppose to delete the "GEARAspiWDM.sys" and "Sentinel64.sys" files right? Thanks for your help.

*EDIT* I did what you told me to. Now I'll just have to wait and see if it BSODs again. Thanks for your help!

Lol ya, thanks a lot for your help! I did everything I could think of that BSODed my computer before, but now it's working perfectly fine! Thanks again!

Just a quick question, why does AVG and Sentinel64.sys cause BSODs?

    You're welcome.

Quite simple: AVG is a security software and all 3rd party ones are known to do it. Sentinel driver was from 2007 and incompatible.
