    No. Nothing else is possible then what is on the MSI link.

    If you read it, they are straight out telling you they know there is a problem and then they proceed to tell you how to fix it (workaround) until they (Atheros) can fix the driver.

    Memtest completely unnecessary here.

    They even mention Skype, just like you did.

    Okay, avg removed and killer network shutoff. What about the kernel bsod? Doesn't that point to either a ram or driver issue?

    If you have any further problems, post a new crash dump of it. Unless the machine is altered in some negative way in the future, there will be no more bsods.
