Hello,

I have the following system:

Gigabyte GA-H87-HD3
Intel Core i5-4570
Thermalright True Spirit 120 M BW
8GB G.Skill DDR3 1333MHz CL9
Samsung 840 Evo 120GB
Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Dual-X, 3GB GDDR5, 2x DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, lite retail (11221-00-20G)
Western Digital Caviar 640GB, SATA II, Western Digital6400AAKS
be quiet! Straight Power 650 W / BQT E6
LG GH22NS SATA
Toshiba STOR.E BASICS 2 TB @ USB 3.0
Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit

and i'm getting bluescreens every day. I can't say if the bluescreens appear while I'm doing something specially - it seems like they just come up randomly - and there are a lot of different ones ...

I have taken out the GPU yesterday and I have uninstalled the driver.

With Memtest I have tested my RAM for more than 6 hours each - there were no errors.

Since I took out the GPU there were 2 more bluescreens. So I assume that there is no direct connection.

I have also formated my SSD and reinstalled Windows a few times.

I don't know what to do next. Could you please help me?
Thank you for your help :)

Uninstall UltraMon:

Code:
UltraMonUtility UltraMonUtility.sys Thu Nov 13 20:10:30 2008 (491CD006)

The driver is just simply too old to be trusted and is 1st on the list in order of culpability. When things are perfectly stable, you can try to install latest instead or probably better to use something like DisplayFusion, since it doesn't use drivers.

Delete C:\Users\Benno\AppData\Local\Temp\GPU-Z.sys

Code:
0: kd> lmvm gpu_z
start end module name

Use latest GPU-Z only, instead.

Uninstall Daemon Tools Lite and replace with PowerISO.

Everything else looks good. Uninstall Kaspersky if issues remain, reboot, then set Windows Firewall and Windows Defender to Automatic and start them too. There are some clues that make me think Kaspersky might be of interest here too.

Perhaps these drivers are of interest to remove by uninstalling Paragon. You could probably hold off on this until you absolutely need to try it:

Hi MasterChief,

Thank you for your reply.

Uninstall UltraMon
Done.

Delete C:\Users\Benno\AppData\Local\Temp\GPU-Z.sys
I couldn't find this file but since it is in the Temp directory it might doesn't exist anymore anyways ... ?

Uninstall Daemon Tools Lite and replace with PowerISO.
I have unistalled Daemon Tools.

Everything else looks good. Uninstall Kaspersky if issues remain, reboot, then set Windows Firewall and Windows Defender to Automatic and start them too. There are some clues that make me think Kaspersky might be of interest here too.
On my old PC I have also used Kaspersky with Windows 8.1 without having any problems. Is it save to uninstall Kaspersky and only use "Windows-Tools"?

// Uninstalled Kaspersky and runing Windows Firewall + Defender now

Perhaps these drivers are of interest to remove by uninstalling Paragon. You could probably hold off on this until you absolutely need to try it.
I have just uninstalled Paragon right now.

Latest crash = dwm.exe, DirectX and all that good video stuff took the system down in a 0x3b crash.

Antivirus software tends to like to do this often. It's one of their "good" features. lol

So, you're thinking: "What the heck. He told me to use Defender."

Yup, that can't crash Windows - BUT - Kaspersky drivers are still installed and active in latest crash dump:

Code:
kl1 kl1.sys Fri Oct 18 05:18:22 2013 (5260FCDE)
klflt klflt.sys Fri May 31 14:59:40 2013 (51A8F31C)

klim6 klim6.sys Thu Jul 11 03:53:56 2013 (51DE6494)
klkbdflt klkbdflt.sys Thu Aug 08 09:08:54 2013 (52039866)
klmouflt klmouflt.sys Thu Aug 08 09:09:08 2013 (52039874)
klpd klpd.sys Fri Apr 12 07:34:45 2013 (5167F155)
klwfp klwfp.sys Tue May 07 09:56:12 2013 (518907FC)

Use the tool that you can download from them to remove it (the product) - them (the drivers). Safe mode usage is best, but not necessary.

This Paragon driver somehow remained as well, of them all:

Code:
0: kd> lmvm UimFIO
start end module name
fffff800`026f7000 fffff800`02768280 UimFIO (deferred)
    Image path: \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\UimFIO.SYS

    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4

Delete it. Open Regedit. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services and delete its subkey.

While there, if you're careful, it can't hurt to see if the subkeys for the Kasperky drivers are gone or not. If not, delete. (You can look inside them to see driver file references, so you know if you're doing correctly or not.)

Reboot when done.

So, I downloaded kavremvr.exe and removed everything left from Kaspersky. I also removed the remainings of Paragon.

I hope everything is gone now.

You can find a new ZIP-File in the attachment. I got to go now but I will come back later and report any new BSOD (or hopefully not :D).

The only difference whatsoever between this new zip and last zip is that Windows Update log grew by a small amount, as well as Driverlist, Event App and Event Sys logs. (No new minidumps is what I'm basically saying.)

Cool. Hopefully no more. Let us know either way, yup.

(Leave Logitech hardware detached until the issue is sorted, just like it is now.)

Only other driver left that I do not like is this:

Delete it. Then delete the subkey for it at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services

Reboot.

Then do this:

If it crashes again after, post new crash dump and also CPU-Z screenshot of Memory tab and one screenshot each for each stick of RAM of the SPD tab.

And I also made the screenshots you asked for.

If there are no more bluescreens until tomorrow, I'll dare to install my graphicscard again - let's see what happens :D

Check motherboard manual to make sure memory is installed in correct slots. Other than that, it looks good.

Jumping the gun a little bit here: Leave it as is for now, since it is very good, but you can get slightly better performance from the RAM at 1T command rate.

That's something to change as a hobbyist, in like a week from now when you are satisfied all is well. So if that causes a problem, it is isolated. But you can do it according to the CPU-Z.

Cool. Good luck.

I put the RAMs into slot #1 and #2 now but I think I'll leave the command rate at 2T for now.

Today I downloaded the newest version of Ultramon. I didn't like DisplayFusion because it isn't possible to create desktop links for programms which will start the programm on a specific screen - or maybe I didn't find this function - anyways, Ultramon works fine now.

The graphicscard is also back in my computer and the latest driver is installed.

Everything seems to be ok now. Thank you so much MasterChief - I started a thread in another board and noone could help me or didn't even bother. Solving this problem would not have been possible without your help :thumb:

So, just to sum up, the "real" problems were Kaspersky and the driver of my DVD-drive? Is there a way that I can use Kaspersky? I do have a license that is still valid for more than a year ...

The "real" problems were anything and everything I suggested. You're welcome.

I can only suggest that you test the machine for some time, even up to a week, even up to a month, as it is.

When you are feeling risky enough, then you can try to alter the system to your liking, one small step at a time. If/when issues return, undo the latest change.

Best of luck with current stability.

Here we go again:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - 0x000000d1 - NETIO.SYS

I haven't changed anything in the last 24 hours.

// I found something on google - maybe the problem is a network driver. I have now removed everything from my Belkin USB-Stick and installed a Fritz!WLAN-Stick. Let's see what happens ...

Hmm this is the first time that I get this kind of BSOD

I switched back to my Belkin network adapter.

MasterChief, do you have any ideas? This whole BSOD thing is starting to annoy me

In my fist post of the thread, I did say to uninstall UltraMon. So yeah - there's that annoyance.

Memtest86+ overnight to see how memory tests out.

Okay, Memtest86+ didn't find any errors - after 10 hours of testing.

.... and I uninstalled Ultramon again.

Ok, it is looking like the memory is defective, but you can post another crash dump again before I say with near certainty.

Before doing so, please delete this driver:

Code:
3: kd> lmvm GEARAspiWDM
start end module name
fffff800`035f7000 fffff800`035fdc00 GEARAspiWDM (deferred)
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\GEARAspiWDM.sys
    Image name: GEARAspiWDM.sys
    Timestamp: Thu May 03 15:56:17 2012 (4FA2E2E1)
    CheckSum: 00008963
    ImageSize: 00006C00
    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4

Then look at the following location to find the Regedit subkey for that driver and delete it:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services

Reboot.

If your CD/DVD drive does not work, then follow this.

Okay, I have done all that.

I also remarked that my Download-Speed is quite slow since I changed my NIC - I am now using the Belkin-Stick again. According to the FritzBox Control Panel the WLAN-connection should be ok but I only get half the speed now ... Could this have something to do with the other problems?
