SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION and a whole host of others.

My computer has been experiencing frequent BSODs for the last two or so months, at first I thought it was an isolated issue but now it's become so frequent that it's becoming impossible to do anything. Now I have not installed anything unusual or done anything out of the ordinary during that time period so I assume maybe it's a windows update or a driver update. The little helpful information I've managed to dig up suggests that it may be a driver issue, so i downloaded the latest graphics card update (my PC crashed while trying to install it the first time, of course) and installed it. And there has been absolutely no change.

The times that this happen are completely random, sometimes while browsing the internet, sometimes on startup and sometimes when the computers doing nothing at all, then I walk in the room and hey BSOD! So there is absolutely no pattern as far as that goes.

Now I've only finally got around to asking for a solution myself, because today when i tried to launch windows not only did I get a BSOD that restart the computer, the computer then procceeded to fail to launch 3 times in a row. One message I was presented with was something along the lines of 'page fault in nonpaged area' (forgive me I didnt have a pen handy) So it appears as though the computer is getting worse despite no reason for doing as such?

Anyway if you guys have any suggestions I would be grateful however, right now I would really like to avoid downloading any third party software, because honestly the PCs pulling enough stuff now without foreign intervention. Oh and if you are going to tell me to do something please explain it as though I am an idiot (because I am) because it will save me asking you how I have to do so afterwards.

    Thanks.

(Oh and right now I can't actually sort through files to look for a fix because when i try to open a folder the toolbar flashes and then nothing happens)

Is it fine if I just upload the dump files or do you want me to go through with using this application?
To update, I've tried a whole host of things since I have posted one such was using the windows memory tester which showed up with zero problems. I've considered using the driver verifier tool that windows provides yet from the research I've done on it shows that it can have unstable results.

EDIT: Instead of waiting for a response I just posted a rar of my dump files anyway.

More EDIT: Oh and chief I've read through your posts responding to similar questions of this nature and I know the first thing you are going to say is : Uninstall Norton.
But I've been using the program long before the issues started, and more to the point I'm using it on my other computer and am currently experiencing no issues. So there honestly has to be another explanation.

You said it. I didn't. (Doesn't mean advice is wrong. Good job.) Machine will be fine after. Use the removal tool they offer after, for good measure and don't forget about the Defender and Firewall services.

Classic Norton 360 (full circle then crash lol) bringing down the storage example. (Fine job @ them too, heh.)

    Code:
    *******************************************************************************

Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

    BugCheck 24, {b50019060b, fffff8800c829278, fffff8800c828ab0, fffff88000bd9412}

and here, it wasn't just satisfied with crashing storage sub-system. It got creative instead:

Realtek lan driver could use an update from Realtek's site, just because there is one:

Ah crap yeah, just crashed then and yeah.... symfa64.sys was shown on the blue screen.
Didn't want to have to do this after not having any issues with the software on previous machines... but uh it's driving me nuts.
I'll have to test it out tomorrow as it's quite late at the moment.

How reliable do you think the windows antivirus and firewall services are?

Oh and thanks for being so swift and with your responses, it's greatly appreciated.

    We'll see how it goes.

They can not crash Windows, so 100%. You're welcome.

    No.

Here is the key to success:

    From your latest crash dump:

    Code:
    SYMDS64 SYMDS64.SYS
    SYMEFA64 SYMEFA64.SYS
    SSYMEVENT64x86 SYMEVENT64x86.SYS
^^^There are other Norton drivers too. Just showing some as example, and being brief about it. The tool will fix it all.

If the machine is behaving too erratically to get the job done, look at Brink's tutorial on here about how to get to safe mode and use the tool there instead.

Weird... sorry I should have been more clear. The restart actually happened as a result of the final stage of using the norton removal tool.
So After using the Norton removal tool, the PC crashed because of Norton.

    .... thats pretty funny.
