Critical Structure Corruption + other BSODs

Hi,

I am getting BSODs in a 1-year old system. One of the more common errors I get refers to critical structure corruption, although there have been several other ones too.

Any advice would be appreciated regarding how to rectify this.

Neil

Since all of your drivers appear well to me, I'd suggest to make sure there is no overclocking on any components, whether it be CPU, GPU or RAM.

I noticed you have Afterburner or similar overclocking tool installed. I would uninstall that (also because driver is 2011) for now until this is all figured out, to get rid of the driver and also to ensure it doesn't have a setting applied at boot to overclock.

For good measure, use CPU-Z to compare SPD tab to Memory tab. See if your memory is set well as it should be with regard to timings and frequency.

This driver might be a little suspicious as a possible culprit, based on the fact that I've never seen it before and there is little information:

Code:
1: kd> lmvm INETMON
start end module name

Thanks for the advice.

I tried all of what was suggested and didn't have another crash until now. A 'bad pool header' BSOD this time upon starting a Steam game.

To anyone else who is reading this (I see Masterchief was banned), I've only now gotten around to reviewing the most recent suggestions. Firstly, I have confirmed that I have the very latest ASMedia SATA driver (which is 1.3.8). Other than that, I've read through the other thread, but as the advice seems to be very specific to the other person, I can't see how I can follow it.

Are there any other recommendations that can be given regarding potential next steps?

MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner (along with EVGA Precision) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install them immediately!

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

Out of the last 4 memory dumps there were 4 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- missing Windows Updates
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers), older systems, or even pirated systems
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

Please start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

Please be sure that you have ALL available Windows Updates
Please update your system with the latest Win8.1 compatible drivers from the AsRock website (in particular, update the chipset drivers and any USB controller drivers that you may be able to find. I think this is the link for your system: ASRock > Z77 Extreme4-M

Also update your SplashTop drivers.
