    It is either that Lhdmgr driver crashing the system or the memory is defective.

    I am not sure how to get an update for that driver, because it is not shown for your model.

    You could contact Lenovo and ask them for an update to see if that fixes it, or clean install Windows as a basic test to see if that crashes or not.

    How do I clean install Windows? My laptop came with it so I do not have any kind of Windows 8 disk.

    Two things I can suggest.

    1) Contact TheOG on here. He seems to know very well how to obtain install media under various conditions.

    2) I can not suggest what I'd want to under site rules. You already have a license for Windows, I'm assuming, so that's good. I guess I'm allowed to say that the .iso does not have to come directly from Microsoft themselves but can be "found". If you do this, compare hash tags on the file to the official, to ensure that there has been no tampering. Hash tags for official can be Googled.


    Before anything though - Did this machine come with Windows 8 or Windows 7, from the store when it was brand new, unused?

    I will contact TheOG. It's too bad about the site rules because I'm basically up for anything at this point.

    I am currently stuck in the Automatic Repair loop and I can't even access any of my files. It just tells me that it could not repair then takes me back to the Advanced Startup menu. No matter what I choose will start back up with Automatic Repair. When I chose to use System Restore, it says I have made no restore points, although I did.
    I bought the machine manufacturer refurbished and it came with Windows 8 already installed.

    It seems that I don't have any luck with Lenovo products lately, as this is the second laptop I've gone through in a month. I returned the first because it would not turn on after 4 days of running smoothly and Lenovo Customer Care told me that my system board was faulty. I decided to return the laptop directly to the seller (on Ebay) where they would deal with Lenovo instead, and miraculously they told me that they were able to turn the laptop on no problem. Strange things.
