Hello!
so I basically just recently got a new laptop and started using it about a week ago but past few days (2-3) i got 3 BSOD already all saying "Driver irql not less or equal." I'm not sure what's causing it but it's making me a bit worried. I really hope i did the dump file thing right. (I have windows 8 btw)
Also, if you don't mind just making your answers a bit more simple and concise because I really don't know much about laptops or these things, basically a noob sorry.
Thanks in advance for your help!
UPDATE:
So I heard there's a problem with a chipset of some sort?
So just tried updating Intel Corporation - Storage Controller - Intel(R) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller, it has been trying to update since a week ago apparently. For some reason, it keeps failing.
And then I tried going to synaptics drivers, to see if it that will help, but a previous version of the Synaptics Touchpad has already been installed. Should I uninstall to install again from Drivers | Synaptics?
Or i do have some sort of feeling it's because of McAfee because I've looked at forums with the same BSOD error as me and a few said to delete McAfee but I dont understand why and if it applies to myself.
