The BSOD's started getting really violent yesterday. I was ready to throw my laptop out the window.

I've had it for about 4-5 months, bought brand new from Futureshop. I got one blue screen once shortly after I bought it, like two months ago or something, but I don't remember what the error was, and it didn't happen again for a long while, so I thought I maybe just was running too much or something.

Yesterday I was burning DVD's for a family project with DVDStyler while watching videos on Youtube, and every half-hour or so I'd be in the middle of burning a DVD and bam, my laptop would crash and along with the oh-so-elegant sad face Microsoft decided to incorporate into their BSOD message, I was given the error IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE that I could 'look up later'.

Well I did look it up later and I have no idea what's going on, because no one seems to be having the same problem as me.

Today I was watching a show on a website while burning another DVD, hoping I'd be able to get somewhere, but nope, low and behold another BSOD.

So I came here. And I blue screened again!! Trying to use the SF_Diagnostic_Tool, my computer crashed! I wasn't even doing anything, I had the program running, and this webpage open and I blue screened!! Eventually though I managed to get put together the rar file.

I honestly have no idea what's going on, I hope you guys can help. D:

    Hi HannahDJA,

I have looked at the crash dump files and the problem points to outdated drivers. Below is a list of software to install.

Download & Install one at a time. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

    1) Realtek Audio -

    2) Atheros Bluetooth -

    3) Broadcom Card Reader -

    4) Intel Management Engine -

    5) Intel VGA -

    6) Atheros Wireless -

**Note: Before attempting to update the BIOS, close ALL programs, DISABLE any anti-virus software.**

    7) BIOS Version 2.17 -

    Thanks so much!!

I did run into something though, when going to install the VGA Intel drivers, it says that I already have drivers of a newer version installed for my Intel Display Audio and Intel HD Graphics. Should I go ahead with that, or no?

Well. All that seemed to work for about 4 days.

Until today. I unplugged a USB microphone and my system blue screened. Same error and everything. Now I'm just convinced that me and Windows 8 are no longer able to get along. I miss windows 7. Can't get one of those because no one sells them for a decent price retail anymore and Mac's are too expensive on a college student's salary.

Attached a new .zip file of my dump logs and whatnot.

Did I miss something? Or am I just really freaking unlucky? If it's because I'm running too many programs, then I guess I'm stuck with blue screens until I can afford a different computer. My job requires that several RAM eating programs be run at once, so I suppose I'm S.O.L.

    Thanks for helping, in advance.

I believe I have found exactly what the problem is. Audiodg.exe is causing this problem. I will need some extra information to determine how to safely disable it.

Please complete the following steps. We might have to go through a few more steps in order to completely fix this. However, we should be close.

After you finish, test the system to see if can get it to blue screen. Post any details you find. I will be back later tonight after I finish class.

Also, I can see an entry in the autoruns log called "Show-Password". Do you need this? It is known to be associated with malware. If you do not recognize the entry I will post steps to remove it.

Step 1) Right click Autoruns.exe > Open as administrator

Right click & delete the following entries:

    -Wondershare Helper Compact.exe
    -Themes Setup
    -Windows Desktop Update
    -NCH Software\SoundTapSevenDays
    -Bandisoft MPEG-1 Audio Decoder
    -Bandisoft MPEG-1 Video Decoder

    Step 2)

    1. Right-click the speaker icon in the lower right corner.
    2. Select Playback Devices from the menu. A list of devices should appear on the screen.
    3. Double-click the device that has a green checkmark. The properties windows for that device should open.
    4. Click the Enhancements tab at the top.
    5. From the list of enhancements, uncheck all of them, or click the Disable all enhancements checkbox.
    6. Click the OK button to save your changes and close the window.
    7. Click OK to close the Playback Devices window.

So I tried and tried and tried to get it to blue screen. It finally blue screened a few minutes ago, and I got a different error this time. I don't know if that's expected, or if I just have a new problem now. LOL I love computers! They're so unpredictable!

Error was Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal (igdkmd64.sys). I'll attach the new .rar of dump files, but as far as what I was doing, I was exporting things, while in a skype call, while trying to play a video game with Chrome open.

Looked around for that error, and it seems to be Intel Graphics related. Someone said to disable Intel Graphics and restart to see if I get a blue screen, and if so, to update them.

I have reviewed all the logs again. Since this is the first time the Intel Graphics driver was referenced as a problem I don't think you should have that much of an issue. In fact I think the real problem was to much stress on the system. Exporting, Skype calls, & Video games at the same time is a lot for any computer to handle at once.

If you continue to receive blue screens pointing to Intel Graphics remove the driver you have (Version for the original version I posted (

Also, you haven't answered my question

I assume you don't need "Show-Password" installed. So, below are some tools to help you remove it.

    1) AdwCleaner -

    2) Junkware Removal Tool -

Let me know how it goes.
