If using a USB keyboard and mouse it's safe to disregard the errors about the PS2 keyboard and mouse. If not, post aback and we'll look into it further.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disk-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Razer GameBooster is known to cause BSOD's on some systems. Please uninstall it.

MSI Afterburner (along with Riva Tuner and EVGA Precision) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install it immediately!

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.
Please un-install all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Un-install a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure - Sysnative Forums

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Un-install". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web.

Just FYI - we try to never uninstall drivers. Rather we uninstall the program that installed them.
But, which drivers are you referring to in particular?

If it's those in RED, then first try updating the program that's listed (with the latest available, Win8.1 compatible program)

If it's the drivers below that (in the code box) - just hold off until all the other stuff is done.
Then we'll see if it's needed.

Please note that MSI offers no drivers (for this motherboard) that are compatible with Win8.1 - nor does it mention anything about upgrading to 8.1. This leads me to believe that they won't certify this board for Win8.1 As such, you'll have to try and find drivers from the internet that will work on the board - and there's no guarantee that they will be available. We'll follow the steps above to see if we can make the board stable - but in the end it may be that the solution is to move back to Win8.

This is not an attempt to dissuade you from trying the upgrade - rather it's a statement intended to let you know that there may come a time when you decide that the board isn't compatible with Win8.1, and that the solution at that point will be to revert to Windows 8.

Good luck!

1) Please ensure that you remove Daemon Tools according to these instructions:

2) Please ensure that you remove AMD Overdrive according to these instructions:

3) Please uninstall MSI Afterburner:
MSI Afterburner (along with Riva Tuner and EVGA Precision) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install it immediately!

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

4) A search of the web shows some issues between Tunngle and Windows 8.1. I'd suggest uninstalling Tunngle until you've made the system stable. Once it is stable, then download the latest, Windows 8.1 compatible version and install that (to see if the BSOD's continue).

5) Install this driver to update your Realtek wired networking driver: Realtek

6) Uninstall your Logitech software. If needed, download a fresh copy of the latest, Win8.1 compatible and install it (this is not the Win8 version - it must be Win8.1)

Yep, now we wait.
If it goes a week or so without a BSOD - then it's probably fixed
If it goes a couple of weeks without a BSOD - then we're pretty sure that it's fixed.

Good luck!
