BSOD , mostly using chrome or gaming

    Hi

"Prime95" is a pass so hopefully the CPU will be fine. Now please enable "Driver Verifier" according to instructions from the below link.

Driver Verifier - BSOD related - Sysnative Forums

"Verifier" is a Microsoft's own tool to stress test third party drivers and find the buggy one. If it detects a violation, a blue screen will be created immediately and the dump will give us the name of offending driver straight forward. After enabling "Verifier" , system will be a bit slow and laggy dur to the background verification process. After you got two or more blue screens, please upload the new crash dumps and we will know whether the issue is caused by third party drivers or low level hardware (a verifier enabled dump which blames Windows system files is a clear confirmation of hardware problem).

I had BSODs after 10 seconds after each boot with enabled verifier. And I experienced a BSOD when I created the restore point. Interesting: I had to put the restore file on another HDD than the SSD. Maybe one of the other HDDs is causing the problems?

    Files attached.

    Hi

It is normal for a "Verifier" enabled system to blue screen frequently. It is the job of Verifier to call the bugcheck function immediately after detecting a buggy driver.

    Hi

Unfortunately all the three crash dumps appeared to be corrupted. Please manually copy the new dumps inside "C:\Windows\Minidump" folder and attach with the next reply.

    Hi

Both the crash dump you uploaded are not "Verifier" enabled. They are usual crash dumps generated by Windows. But this time we got a culprit third party driver - Logitech Gamepanel Virtual HID Device Driver

    Code:
    BugCheck C9, {220, fffff80168087b88, ffffcf8026be4d80, ffffe00006009cc0}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for LGVirHid.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for LGVirHid.sys
    Probably caused by : LGVirHid.sys ( LGVirHid+624 )

    Driver Reference Table - LGVirHid.sys

The driver seems to be very old and it is clearly not designed for "Windows 8".

    Code:
    Loaded symbol image file: LGVirHid.sys
        Image path: LGVirHid.sys
        Image name: LGVirHid.sys
        Timestamp: Tue Nov 24 07:06:48 2009 (4B0B38B0)
Please uninstall the driver completely and disconnect the driver from the system. If there is a native "Windows 8" driver available at official support site, you can use the device. Otherwise , keep the device disconnected from the system.

Logitech Support - Downloads, Manuals, FAQs & More

Installing "Windows 7" or "Vista" driver in "Windows 8" can cause serious trouble. If the BSOD continues after uninstalling the driver, please enable the verifier.

Well I deleted that driver and activated the verifier. No BSOD till now, tested a few hours I hope thats done now!

The verifier is still activated. Is it problematic to keep it enabeld? Or should it be disabled again?

    Hi

Please disable "Verfiier" and check how the system works normally. Only enable "Verifier" if you encounter further blue screens. To disable it, open an elevated command prompt and enter Verifier /reset and reboot the machine. To check the status, simply enter Verfier /query. If "Verifier" is running, you will get the list of currently monitoring drivers. Otherwise you will get a message similar to "no drivers are currently monitored" or so.

Eh okay I disabled it, then got another BSOD. But there was no dmp file created this time. What if I set the verifier to checking ONLY Microsoft sevices? Maybe the problem is to find there?

    Hi

"Verfier" should be only used to monitor third party drivers. Selecting Microsoft system drivers is totally unnecessary and doing so may make the system non bootable. First read instructions from the below link and set "Windows" to write "Small Memory dumps".

    Set MiniDump

Then enable "verfier" and select all non-Microsoft drivers.
