    That funny.
You blame the latest Asus BIOS. Then `Poor Drivers` by the same company. and then NVidia (graphics card).

Microsoft also have the Microsoft WDM drivers for the NVidia card on their Microsoft Updates web page as an `Optional update`.

Just saying; the INTERACTION between the two should be looked at.

And I dont know if or why you are saying my Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard is at fault? or my Z87 Sabertooth is at fault? Or my Samsung Pro SSD? Or the Platinum 850W PSU?

Or the NVidia Drivers of various incarnations?

    Try and understand:
Life is too short for the public to do the work of Microsoft and/or the hardware companies (when we are not paid employees).

When I buy a radio, I want to press autotune for the radio stations and then a button for each station. CUSTOMERS do not want to have to fiddle about for months.

A BSOD can be caused by either hardware or software reasons. A failed RAM , failed HDD or a driver fault can cause the same stop code. In this particular case, HDD was the faulty component. Please don't assume every single BSOD will be caused by same reason.

    A BSOD `can be` caused. A BSOD `can be` caused.

    1) My ram is perfect; and its 1866MHz and reccomended for this Z87 Sabertooth. It works perfect. There are no drivers for it. I know spending 5 days on an extended Memtest would be a waste of time.
    2) My SSD is quite new and very reliable. Samsung Pro SSD. The software is bulletproof, they say.
    3) You don`t say which `Driver fault` can cause the particular `Stop Code`. But like I say; "LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR THE CUSTOMER TO DO THE WORK OF MICROSOFT AND/OR THE MANUFACTURERS."
    4) I have the same ERROR CODE (as the poster) and my HDD/SSD is in perfect order. It also is not crashing at this moment. The BSoD happens RANDOMLY. And his PC may have the same problem again with his new HDD, but later. If a HDD/SSD is faulty, I think it would BSoD REGULARLY.

Whatever; I am a frequent customer of computers/parts, and am expressing myself as helpful customers should.

How are the sales of Windows 8.1?

Roger, your ignorance shines through with the extreme luminosity of a supernova. lol

    Suggest one of two things:

    1) Post your crash dumps so I can fix your machine literally within 2-3 minutes of seeing them.

    2) Move on to somewhere else to spew your nonsense.

I'm baffled by the constant BSODs I'm getting on every cold boot. It doesn't give any useful information beyond the error itself : KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR. With much difficulty (mucking around with symbols and paths!) I was able to run WinDbg and open the crash dump but the output doesn't help...
