BSOD After Windows Update

Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

I bought a new Alienware 14 laptop with Windows 8 installed. A week went by with no issues, I installed Steam and plenty of games but not much else.

Today I had a prompt to install some windows updates and restart, which I did, but on reboot I got a BSOD with the System Thread Exception Not Handled error.

I googled the cause and most posts pointed to a driver error, the fix suggesting going in to safe mode and reinstalling the nvidia driver.

I tried but couldnt get the laptop in to safe mode so in the end I just did a system restore as I didnt have that much installed. During the process of getting it back up and running I updated the Alien Respawn program and this gave me another BSOD (same error). I tried another restore and it got the laptop up and running but had rolled back the nvidia driver to 331.48 from the 331.65 that I had updated to.

The laptop seems ok now but I am worried if I install newer nvidia drivers it will come back.

I can see detailed logs in Alien Autopsy but cant see how to copy them.

Sorry here are the dumps.

FWIW - this is the 3rd or 4th problem I've seen w/nVidia drivers (in the last week or so) that was resolved w/a driver rollback (but all of the others were Win8.1).
I'd keep an eye out on the nVidia site for a updated driver (later than 331.65) in the near future.
Look at the 2nd post here for the bugs that are still open: https://forums.geforce.com/default/...ay-driver-feedback-thread-released-10-28-13-/

I have seen issues w/Killer network cards - but mostly on MSI systems (I only recall one on an Alienware system in the recent past).
Keep an eye on this - no need to do anything special at this point.

2 memory dumps in the WER section of MSINFO32 blame this (this is also blamed in the 2 memory dumps that I analyzed below):

NVIDIA Graphics filter driver
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=nvkflt.sys

I'd suggest that you should stay with what you have right now - as it's not causing you any problems.
Should newer nVidia drivers come out - feel free to try them, but be prepared to revert back.

Should the BSOD's return, feel free to post back (and include the memory dumps) - and we'll hit your video card with a barrage of hardware tests.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Thanks for your help,I will do as you suggested. Where did you spot the issue with the killer wireless I could only see an issue with the nvidia driver?

No issues on your system. I've seen them on other systems recently.

I suspect the video drivers also - but sometimes other problems will raise their ugly heads. That's why I asked you to remember it.
