Usually BSOD shortly after first startup of the day

I have an old (2006) water cooled dual Xeon workstation that was my bread and butter using XP-64bit until it retired to be my home computer. I "upgraded" to win7-home and was fine until recently when I upgraded to Win8-Pro in order to get the second cpu recognized. Everything seemed fine for several months but now I often get a BSOD either during startup but usually within 5 or 10 minutes of logging in and starting work. The messages are quite varied and don't point toward a specific driver or program as far as I can tell. I have run Memtest-86 overnight with no errors and Prime-95 for 3 or 4 hours without any errors. If the computer stays alive for 15 minutes, it never crashes. I read elsewhere on the forum today that someone had a similar problem and it was suggested that one of the memory sticks is flaky when cold but OK when warmed up and that would explain what I experience. During the Prime-95 test I noticed from HWMonitor that several ram sticks were running at 99 to 100 C while others were at 82 to 90 but with no problems. I planned on swapping memory in and out but the computer has to cool down everynight and even then only crashes about 75% of the time. Should I try spraying canned air on the memory while running to see if that causes a crash? Attached are 3 log files and Speccy and HWMonitor files.

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

Run MemTest86+ in the morning when you first start the system
Then, on another day, run Prime95 when you first start the system

Also, you have to face the very real possibility that the system is not compatible with Win8/8.1
The newer OS's (8 and 8.1) are tightly tied to the BIOS/UEFI - and in many cases the older BIOS's just aren't working with it (my Lenovo x61t tablet is a case in point). Your BIOS dates from 2006 - IMO it's way, way too old for reliable performance w/Win8.

Out of 19 memory dumps there were 10 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
    - borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
    - BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
    - overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
    - compatibility issues
    - low-level driver problems
    - or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

You can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics if you'd like - they are located here: Hardware Diagnostics

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics. Let us know the results and we can move on from there.

Thank you for all of the suggestions. I'll update the files you high-lighted and I certainly agree that the machine needs to be replaced as soon as I can afford it. In the mean time I pulled out a pair ram sticks and started the computer after it had plenty of time to cool - it crashed about 10 minutes after I started it up. I pulled out another pair and replaced them with the first pair I'd taken out. I started it up after letting it cool for about 6 hours - no problem. I shut it down overnight and started it up next morning - no problem. I installed my 3ds Max, modeled and rendered an animation - no glitches at all so I'm feeling like I did have a stick of ram that was flakey only when cold. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hey, I'm not new, just never created a user here, new to Win 8.1, but I've been around seven forums for years. Anyway, I can't figure this out. At random, for no apparent reason, usually shortly after launching Chrome (I run the new, 64bit Canary version) it begins to use around 27-30% of my Cpu,...
Hey Guys, really need some help here. I've had my PC for 4 Years Now and for the past year or so I have been getting the BSOD. I've taken my machine in, had it tested, repaired etc. The last issue was RAM and had it replaced and the computer ran fine for almost 5 months until recently. Ok enough of...
Recently during the past month or so, my system has developed a problem where the wi-fi works initially for about a minute or so after waking up from sleep, and then abruptly disconnects. Fortunately, reconnecting manually is never a problem, but does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on...
hey all, I had a random BSOD after a clean install of Windows 8.1 (non pro 64bit). I installed a couple of web browsers and a version of Photoshop then had the BSOD. So far it's just been this single one since my new installation. I've been battling some more frequent random BSODs in the past...
Hello all, I bought a new gaming laptop from Maingear a few months ago and since the day it arrived, it has been giving me BSOD's on almost every single cold boot, either immediately after I get to the desktop, or very shortly after the boot is complete and everything is loaded. I've read the...
Please see the attached logs. This is a fresh installation of Windows 8. System Specs is on my user profile.
Hi folks, Just upgraded my laptop to Win8Pro. This is running on a Bootcamp partition on a late 2011 MacBook Pro. The machine seems to go through phases of stability and then extreme instability (currently on my 3rd full clean install). BSODs seem to happen primarily shortly after boot and...
