Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:

    Click Start Menu
Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
    Expand Custom Views
    Click Administrative Events
    Right click Administrative Events
Save all Events in Custom View As...
Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
    Upload the .zip file here.

That event happened to yours is all I'm talking about. It was frustrating, as a normal user I might suspect I did s'thing wrong with it. Just knowing some technical surface made me unable to dig deeper into the problems. But I also consider it as preview that might has bugs in it.
But getting used to it, change my view and see it now as s'thing to live with. Waiting for beta now.

Here, I attach the event viewer log on my home PC, my laptop, and office PC.

    Brief note:

    1. Home PC: Though the events seem worst, it certainly worked, yesterday I updated ATI driver to the latest version, but I rolled it back as I found it incompatible. All games run with ease. I use dial up modem.
    2. Laptop: Lately showed me better shut down behavior. But sometimes the screen freezes for 10 second just after finishing the boot sequence.
    3. Office: an old one, DG31PR with dual core (Intel E7600). I use it just for most office work requirement. Office 2010, Photoshop CS5, Acrobat X, etc. I use LAN with mikrotic router.

Hope you will be able give us something to learn from.

    thanks in advance

It is now solved by the release of WCP. The problem no longer exist.

I know that I am a new member, but when you look up pci.sys, it says that it is the generic monitor driver. It looks like the display driver that animates the shutdown is corrupt, so shutting down will result in this BSOD instead of the shutdown animation. You could try to boot into a linux live cd and replace pci.sys with a fresh copy. (Usually located in C:\Windows\System32\drivers or System)

    Thanks for the advice.

I left WDP behind. Now I'm running WCP, and no more problem with shutting down

When using DPI scaling in Windows 8.1, I've noticed that different programs are scaled in different ways: Scaling fully supported: This results in the best experience by far, but it seems only a handful of Windows components (e.g. Windows Explorer and Control Panel) as well as Office 2013 have...
