Hi everyone.

As soon as I updated to Windows 8.1 I had BSOD issues, specifically MEMORY_MANAGEMENT. Additionally Chrome was acting up, tabs weren't loading, then my system would BSOD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Missing the systeminfo.txt report. Please check Windows Update and make sure that you have all Windows Updates. Make repeated checks (2 or 3) between reboots to make sure you have them all.

D: drive only has about 7% free space. Windows likes 15% free space in order to perform stuff "behind the scenes" without adversely affecting the system's performance. Please free up 15% on ALL hard drives (you can get away with 10% on larger drives and won't notice a large performance penalty)

MSI Afterburner (along with Riva Tuner and EVGA Precision) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install it immediately!

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

LogMeIn Remote drivers date from 2007/2008. Please uninstall this program immediately.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

getbus.sys - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed.

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics. Let us know the results and we can move on from there.

Hi usamsa. I fixed everything based on what you said and uninstalled the programs. I still need to get down to 15% free (right now I'm at 11%). I couldn't figure out how to update: getbus.sys.

I then kept getting MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD, but much less frequently. I proceeded to run Driver Verifier and got this message upon startup: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (L1C63x64.sys).

I can't figure out what to do. [DEL]I also can only now use my computer in safe mode as this BSOD comes up at the login screen.[/DEL]

EDIT: I am able to get into regular windows now (the reason it kept crashing is because the driver verifier didn't shut off correctly.

I have uploaded my dump.

Thank you for your help!

Please turn Driver Verifier off - it's done it's job and we're finished with it (and it'll make your system BSOD/slow down/crash if left on). To do this, launch verifier.exe and select "Delete existing settings". Then click on "Finish" and reboot in order for the settings changes to take effect.

Please uninstall LogMeIn remote software as it's drivers date from 2007/2008.

The verifier enabled memory dumps blame L1C63x64.sys - a driver component of you Qualcomm Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (wired ethernet)

As such, the first step is to:
- download a fresh set of latest, Win8.1 compatible, wired ethernet drivers from the manufacturer's website
- uninstall the current wired ethernet drivers
- install the freshly downloaded drivers
- monitor for further BSOD's

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Hey, thanks for the update.

The thing is I uninstalled LogMeIn and VirtualCloneDrive but I guess the drivers are still there...how do I delete them?

I have also shut off Driver Verifier. I will also update my ethernet drivers. THanks!

If LogMeIn and Virtual Clone Drive drivers show up in the next memory dumps, then we'll try removing them manually.
For now just complete the other steps and see if that stabilizes the system.

Good luck!
