Random series of BSOD on new computer

I recently purchased a computer and its been crashing constantly for the past 48 hours. I ran memory checks and everything came back with negative errors (5 passes, then another 2). I've also gone back and forth updating/rollingback graphics and wireless drivers which i thought might be at fault. I've uninstalled Mcfee which came with the computer but I'm still having issues.I did install another SSD drive for Ubuntu which I have not yet formatted/configured but it shows up under the device manager. My next step is to remove the drive to see if it is causing problems somehow. Any other tips/suggestions?

SSD's were temperamental when they first came out, but their reliability has improved greatly over the last year or two. There are 2 things that MUST be checked on systems with BSOD's and SSD's:
1) That the SSD firmware is the latest available for the SSD
2) That the storage controller drivers on the motherboard are the most recent. They must date from late 2012 or later. This is ALL controllers, not just the one that the SSD is attached to.

Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter is disabled. Is this deliberate? If so, why?

Out of 7 memory dumps there were 5 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers)
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

You can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics if you'd like - they are located here: Hardware Diagnostics

One suspect is your wireless. Please disable it in the BIOS to see if that stops the BSOD's.
If unable to disable it in the BIOS, disable in Windows (Device Manager) - but be advised that the drivers could still be loading and accessing it.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Realtek HiDefinition Audio driver (file labelled as Creative Audio Driver) - Was found in the latest Win8 version available from Realtek on 07Sep2013
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=MBfilt64.sys

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics. Let us know the results and we can move on from there.

Thank you for the response. I'm currently updating the audio drivers but I doubt that is the issue. The drivers for the c220 series sata ahci controller are dated Feb 2013. The drivers for the Microsoft storage spaces controller are dated 2006 but I'm not sure if that matters. Microsoft kernel debug network adapter is disabled because it isn't needed. I've also scanned all of the hard disks and I haven't received any errors. I have not tried using memtest86 to test the memory but I did use Windows memory diagnostic. All sata cables are secure. I've read that there are issues between windows and the qualcomm atheros WLAN drivers but I would hate to have to completely disable my wireless connection. I will monitor the system and use it normally to see if it keeps crashing. Does anyone have any input on the atheros driver situation?

I also just updated the Bios successfully. I read a few posts that stated some of the older atheros drivers might be more stable so I rolled back to the 10.0.0.227 driver dated 2/20/2013. No crashes since yesterday but I'm still not optimistic.

It's the Qualcomm Network Manager that causes the BSOD's - not the wireless drivers. It's a PITA to uninstall/disable, but here's my canned speech on it:
The Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service/KillerNetManager is known to cause BSOD's. Please follow the workaround instructions here:
First, open the Run dialog (Win + R keys) and type in "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Scroll down and locate the "Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service" and right click on it. Select "Stop"
Right click on it again and this time select "Properties"
In the dropdown box for "Startup type", select "Disabled", then click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the window

Next, open Task Manager (right click on TaskBar and select "Task Manager")
Click on the "More details" dropdown (if present)
Click on the "Startup" tab
Scroll down and locate the "KillerNetManager" entry, right click on it and select "Disable"

Finally, restart the system in order for the changes to take affect.

At times the Killer Network Manager will continue to load. If so, it's usually listed in the MSINFO32...Software Environment...Startup Programs section. If it is, please try this:
Please do this:
It may be that the instructions aren't stopping everything.
In your case, there's a program running out of the Program Files/Program Files (x86) directory.
"c:\program files\qualcomm atheros\killer network manager\killer~1.exe" (NOTE: killer~1.exe is most likely killernetmanager.exe)

Here's some things to try
1) Please see if there are any entries in the Startup tab of Task Manager that are related to Qualcomm/Atheros/Killer Network Manager (and NOT the card itself) and disable them (please let us know what you find) Be careful as the wrong selection can disable the network card.
2) Check in "msconfig" for any entries that aren't in the Startup tab of Task Manager. Let us know if you find any Qualcomm/Atheros/Killer entries there (we'll disable them differently if they are there).
3) Locate the "c:\program files\qualcomm atheros\killer network manager\killer~1.exe" and rename the .exe to .BAD (the killer~1 is actually a filename that starts with killer and ends with .exe) There will be an error in event viewer, but it'll stop the bugger from loading.

I didn't suspect your wireless because of this, but rather because of the entries in the stack text during my analysis.
Please disable the wireless card temporarily (in the BIOS if possible) and see if that stops the BSOD's. Use a wired connection while waiting to see if the BSOD's have stopped. As you get several BSOD's a day, it should only take a day to determine this.

Please run ALL of the diagnostics as they're rule a lot of the stuff out. I do not have a lot of faith in the Windows Memory Diagnostic and request that you run MemTest86+

oh ok I understand. I have not had any crashes in almost 24 hours luckily but I will go through the process of disabling the qualcomm network manager. Unfortunately I cannot run a wired connection. I can't disable the wireless via the bios, only the onboard LAN. I would have to do it through the device manager. I will set memtest86 to run overnight if/when I can get it working. If the system crashes later on this evening or tomorrow I will disable the wireless adaptor. I really appreciate your help.

I just finished letting memtest run for 20 hours. It was in the middle of the 4th pass and there were no errors. Before I started the test, I looked for Killer Network Manager in all the places that were suggested and I couldn't find it running anywhere. I will try to search for it again on my next reboot while using the computer as I normally would. I will update the thread if I receive another bsod

AFAIK - you don't have a Killer Network card or the Killer Network Manager installed.
No need to search for them as they don't show up in any of the reports that I use.

Got a few new crashes that may be related to the video card. Ive read that alot of people have had issues with nvidia drivers and crashing.

I suspect that this is a hardware problem, so you'll have to finish ALL the diagnostics here (and let us know the results): Hardware Diagnostics

Also, please try Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings
This is just in case there is an unseen driver issue.
