    Kernel autoboost invalid lock release bsod help pls


    Hi I am getting this bsod at shutdown "Kernel autoboost invalid lock release" ,does anyone have an idea? .I am running windows 8.1.Thks

    Interesting; never heard of that one before. Follow the instructions at the top of this thread to capture the BSOD failures and repost with that information. Good luck.

    Thks for reply ,which one do i use as a dump file small,kernel or other? Do i use that grab all program? I am using windows 8.1.Thks

    HI thks for reply I figured out by the dmp file what it was,it was ax64 time machine driver crshing I would guess at shutdown.I wrote the company and it is not 8.1 ready yet. Thks

    I have the same problem with you, too. I'm running Win8 Pro 64bit edition, when I choose to upgrade to Win8.1 from Windows Store and I got this blue screen message after an auto-reboot. I have no clue until I find this post, but I didn't have this "AX64 Time machine" installed on my computer, why would this problem happend on me?

    PS. I came from China, sorry about my poor English.

    thx, I've already solved this weird issue after I found this post: Error 0xC1900101-0x4000D - Microsoft Community

    I guess ESET Smart Security 7 - which using some core-layer drivers caused this issue, after I uninstalled ESS7, everything goes fine.

Invalid kernel auto boost lock release in BSOD Crashes and Debugging
Twice while doing random activities (palying LoL and browsing the internet) I BSOD'ed with the error "Invalid kernel auto boost lock release". I just built this a week ago and already crashed a few times so I want to fix it, but don't really know what the issue is
I'm running windows 8 pro x64intel i5 2400 @3.10 ghz ram 8gb first i tried installing via store, but there's an error.. we can't connect to the internet right now so i tried downloading the iso version via (upgrade with a product key) made a bootable usb out of it
