Hi everyone i am new here and i am getting BSOD everytime I use scan for devices in device manager.

I used blue screen viewer and it marked red highlight on these 2 files.

1.athw8x.sys
2.ntoskrnl.exe

and here is the zip file using SF diagnostic tool.

I tried removing driver and reinstalling but still getting power state failure bsod everytime in device manager scan for devices.

Thank You for helping me everyone.

Sorry for the delay in responding. There just aren't that many people who do BSOD analysis, so at times we get a bit overwhelmed!

This device cannot start:
Bluetooth Server BTHENUM\{F0B2DD71-FB14-4E30-A62D-931874BF282F}_LOCALMFG&0000\8&4CEEFBE&0&000000000000_00000000 This device cannot start.
Please uninstall it, then download and install a fresh copy of the latest, Win8 compatible drivers from the manufacturer's website.

Razer Game Booster is known to cause BSOD's on some systems. Please uninstall it to test.

Riva Tuner (along with MSI Afterburner and EVGA Precision) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install it immediately!

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

The memory dump blames video drivers. Make sure that you're using the laptop on a hard surface (preferably with a laptop cooling pad). Update the video drivers. If the BSOD's remain, then try the video stress tests here: Hardware Diagnostics

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

the above driver is for Lenovo laptop but mine is ASUS K55VD.

Thank you for taking your time for helping me.

I just uninstalled razer gamebooster, riva tuner, evga precision and i have not overclocked anything.

i removed the bluetooth server driver but when i try to install it from my asus drivers i get power state failure BSOD while installing.

When i do scan for new devices in safe mode boot i dont get BSOD so i dont know whats causing it to BSOD in normal boot.

I am using latest nvidia beta drivers 326.80 beta driver.

ASMMAP64.sys may be shared between Lenovo and Asus. Don't worry about it for now.

Please zip up and upload the contents for C:\Windows\Minidump with your next post.
I would appreciate it if you could make it BSOD (with the Bluetooth Server install) at least 1 more time before uploading the memory dumps. That way I can (hopefully) tell what's causing it.

Still blames video
1) remove beta drivers, install WHQL certified drivers
2) run video stress tests from Hardware Diagnostics
3) remove program that installed Tages copy protection (it's outdated)
4) Remove AICharger (Asus On/Off Charger)
5) Remove SmartDefrag
6) If BSOD's still occur - then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Please update these older drivers (not critical for now). Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

You were right all along the blame on video driver is correct.

It was due to bad driver install due to old driver left overs.

I did a clean uninstall of my nvidia driver using driver cleaner.

Did a fresh install with 326.80 driver again and now no BSOD at all.

Thank you for your help really appreaciate it have a great day :)
