Repeated BSOD minidump error on my new laptop WINDOWS 8

    Hello all,

Just got my new laptop a few days back and since then all I have been getting is alot of BSOD with regards to various mini dumps and memory.dmp. I have attached a couple of the logs as asked and would really appreciate it if somebody could resolve this for me.

    Numair,

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

There are known issues with the Killer network management tools. The Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service/KillerNetManager is known to cause BSOD's. Please follow the workaround instructions here:
First, open the Run dialog (Win + R keys) and type in "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Scroll down and locate the "Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service" and right click on it. Select "Stop"
Right click on it again and this time select "Properties"
In the dropdown box for "Startup type", select "Disabled", then click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the window

Next, open Task Manager (right click on TaskBar and select "Task Manager")
Click on the "More details" dropdown (if present)
    Click on the "Startup" tab
Scroll down and locate the "KillerNetManager" entry, right click on it and select "Disable"

Finally, restart the system in order for the changes to take affect.
Out of 25 memory dumps there were 9 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
    - borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
    - BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
    - overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
    - compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers) - such as the Killer network manager
    - low-level driver problems
    - or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

You can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics if you'd like - they are located here: Hardware Diagnostics

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Still getting the BSOD after your instructions

    Hey John,

I did everything as told from updating the drivers that were in red and uninstalling the program that doesnt have an update. disabled the Killer network as you said but still getting the BSOD attaching the file. Kindly do get me out of this mess.

    Thanks,

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

It may be that the instructions aren't stopping everything.
In your case, there's a program running out of the Program Files/Program Files (x86) directory.
    "c:\program files\qualcomm atheros\killer network manager\killer~1.exe"

    Here's some things to try
    1) Please see if there are any entries in the Startup tab of Task Manager that are related to Qualcomm/Atheros/Killer and disable them (please let us know what you find)
    2) Check in "msconfig" for any entries that aren't in the Startup tab of Task Manager. Let us know if you find any Qualcomm/Atheros/Killer entries there (we'll disable them differently if they are there).
    3) Locate the "c:\program files\qualcomm atheros\killer network manager\killer~1.exe" and rename the .exe to .BAD (the killer~1 is actually a filename that starts with killer and ends with .exe)

Please let us know what you did so we can modify the instructions accordingly.
    Thanks!

MSI Afterburner (along with Riva Tuner and EVGA Precision) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install it immediately!

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

    Hey John,
Sorry for the late update. I found an Atheros processor running during startup and disabled it. Abd as instructed changed the .exe to.BAD, Un installed MSI after burner, updated the drivers but still getting the BSOD's. Attached is the latest Info. I have also stopped overclocking as per your advice. I hope we can trouble shoot the problem this time.

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

It often takes several tries to fix a BSOD. Generally we'll see 2 pages of posts before it's fixed - but I've seen them go to 6 or 7 pages at times on the more difficult one's.

Just FYI - here's how I do BSOD analysis':
    - first I rule out 3rd party drivers (over 90% of BSOD's are due to this)
    - then I rule out hardware (less than 10% of BSOD's are due to this)
    - then I look at Windows problems (less than 1% of BSOD's are due to this - as long as Windows Updates are fully up to date).
We're still ruling out the 3rd party drivers at this stage.
If you'd like, you can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

Please run Driver Verifier to see if we can force the driver to tell us what's causing this. Please follow these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Please ensure that MSI Afterburner is removed - and also uninstall MSI LiveUpdate. We'll see if NTIOLib_x64.sys is present in any further BSOD's

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
