Hi, I've been crashing upon loading/exiting a game. Its always the IRQL LESS THAN OR EQUAL to error. This is a diff motherboard than my other post (hence the new thread).

Thanks

Just found an issue with the Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service ( Driver Reference Table - e22w8x64.sys ).
Please follow the workaround instructions here: MSI USA

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

MBfilt64.sys Thu Jul 30 23:40:32 2009 (4A7267B0)
Realtek HiDefinition Audio driver (file labelled as Creative Audio Driver)
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=MBfilt64.sys

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Hi, thanks for this. I disabled the network card utility and updated sound drivers according to the above website. I'm still getting BSOD's but in a different fashion now. Its not upon loading the game, but instead just leaving the computer on overnight.

Instead of IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, I'm getting:
NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

I also ran a memtest on the RAM, no problems for 24hrs+. Here is the latest crash dump files.

Also run a hard drive test: Hard Drive Diagnostic Procedure

Although the Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service is stopped, the Qualcomm Atheros Network Manager is still loading. Please:
Open Task Manager (right click on TaskBar and select "Task Manager")
Click on the "More details" dropdown (if present)
Click on the "Startup" tab
Scroll down and locate the "KillerNetManager" entry, right click on it and select "Disable"

Finally, restart the system in order for the changes to take affect.

The sound driver is still outdated, I suggest trying http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false:

I believe all the drivers are fully up to date including the BIOS with Qualcolmm Network disabled now. Over the past few days, I've tried to solve this issue, but its still here. Browsing around the internet, many people are having issues with the e2200 network driver with windows 8. Perhaps their driver still doesn't work?? Their FB page is receiving a lot of complaints.

I get the BSODs everytime around 7AM. I check the computer when I wake up to find that it has crashed. I've included the logs for the past few days.

FWIW - I've seen issues with the Killer cards over the last several years. I always suggest having a spare NIC on hand in case something happens to the one that you're using - but with a laptop this just isn't easy to do.

These 2 programs are listed in the Startup section of MSINFO32:
Killer Network Manager c:\windows\installer\{42cd22a9-1451-4cf7-8781-ab27257fc347}\networkmanager.exe_130c27d738f34c89bddf21bcfd74b56d.exe -minimize Public Common Startup

Qualcomm Atheros Killer Network Manager d:\qualcomm atheros\killer network manager\killernetmanager.exe -minimized Public Common Startup
I have no clue why the first one exists - it appears to be an installer that's installing the program. Regardless, locate each one and rename the final .exe to .BAD (be sure that you've set a System Restore Point in case the system won't boot for you).

Out of 6 memory dumps there were 5 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers)
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

You can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics if you'd like - they are located here: Hardware Diagnostics

You can see in the memory dumps where you've updated the Killer network drivers, bluetooth drivers, Razer drivers and audio drivers

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

    Screen Resolution
    800x600
    Hard Drives
One Samsung 1tB drive - 5400 rpm. Gonna switch to a 7200/10000 rpm or an SSD (if I can find $500 for a 1tB SSD!)
    - Switched to 500 gB Samsung 840 series SSD - WOW!!!
    PSU
Why do we ask this for laptops?
    Case
Silver with a neat Samsung logo
    Cooling
sub-par, gotta get around to working on it soon Worked on it - still sub-par! :(
    Keyboard
Microsoft Natural - the same one I've used since it orignally came out around 1995
    Mouse
    no Mouse - Trackball!!!!
    Internet Speed
too slow when I'm waiting for a download to finish
    Browser
Yes, I use this (Firefox mostly, w/IE next most)
    Antivirus
    Windows Defender and Windows Firewall
    Other Info
    I'm handsome and a snappy dresser :0)
FYI - The latest audio drivers from Realtek still contain the 2009 version that we were trying to update.
I suggest just keeping an eye on them for now.
