i boot up my laptop and BSOD comes up titled recovery, your pc couldn't start properly. after multiple tries, the operating system on your pc failed to start, so it needs to be repaired.

you'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. if you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or pc manufacturer.
i have done some research into this problem and i found a lot of suggestions using the SHIFT + F8 at the bootup when the windows logo appears on screen, but that has not worked for me at all. i have tried doing that several times, but i had no success with it.
i have my original windows 8 pro upgrade installation disc with me, and i have tried the auto repair and refresh, but they do not work. also, i am running the windows 8.1 preview as well.
