I installed windows 8 a few weeks ago on a brand new HDD and ever since I have started to have BSOD apperaing every now and then and it is never the same problem. I have been running all kinds of memory and disc tests and verifiers, virus scans but no errors are found. I have also reinstalled Windows once. I've also tried to remove hardware such as the RAM but still no luck.
I've read on many forums were people have encountered the same problems as I but I still can bot get it to work properly.

The last BSOD I had showed: "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and "DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION (HIDCLASS.SYS)"

What should I do?

Thanks in advance!

If it was me, I would run sfc /scannow in administrator command prompt.
Then run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in administrator command prompt & reboot & run sfc again.

If that didn't help I would do a refresh.

If that didn't help I would do a restore.

Thanks, I´ll do that and get back to you with the results. :)

I got "Error: 07 Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth is unknown." when trying to run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth but since the SFC/Scannow the BSODs seems to have stopped. Have not had one since.

Not sure if the problem is truley gone but a big thanks for your help! :)

Glad you made some progress. :)

Did your command prompt look like this for dism:

Make sure you put a space after DISM & after Online & Image

Dism[space] /Online[space] /Cleanup-Image[space] /RestoreHealth

Try also, running this batch file as Administrator:

It will clean out your cached Windows Updates.
They are useless to keep & you will probably free up a GB or so of space on your HD.

I run it myself with no harmful after effects.

Got it working now when using space. I ran sfc/scannow once more and everything seems fine.
Marking this problem as solved since I have not had a single BSOD whole week. Thanks a million! :D Hopefully someone else will find this info useful too! :)

Hmmmmm.... Had another BSOD last night, dont quite remember the actual Error line but it said something about System_Failure_ .... and problem caused by dxgmms1.sys (dxgmms1+26763)

Any clues?
