BSOD: Random BSOD - ntoskrnl.exe

Hi all,

I recently bought a new laptop and installed manufacturer drivers on it. After experiencing BSOD's for some time, I decided to reinstall all the drivers to newest version online. This didn't solve my issue regarding BSOD's so I reinstalled the OS and installed newest available drivers. Still I'm experiencing BSOD's everyday. I've been running MEMTEST for 12 hours and no errors.

Could someone help me analyze the crash reports (minidumps) ? It really upsets me that my new PC isn't working.

Below is hardware descriptions and I've attached the minidumps.

Hardware:

Intel(R) i7-4700MQ
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
Nvidia GTX 765M GPU
12 GB DDR3-1600 MHz RAM
Realtek Ethernet
Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6235
VIA High Definition Audio
250 GB Samsung 840-Series SSD

All drivers should currently be up to date, and there are no errors showing up in 'Device Manager'.

Thanks for your effort.

Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis: http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

If you've already run this, it hasn't completed all the reports. Please let it run for at least 15 minutes (or until the app itself says that it's done), then zip it up and upload it with your next post.

Out of 17 memory dumps there were 9 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers)
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

You can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics if you'd like - they are located here: Hardware Diagnostics

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Thanks for your very detailed reply.

I've added all details as you requested. Starting to update the drivers now.

On Clevo's homepage there is no BIOS update for my model W35xST. Also, I'm not overclocking (Doesn't even have the choice of doing so on my laptop)

Please check to be sure that you have ALL available Windows Updates

SSD's were temperamental when they first came out, but their reliability has improved greatly over the last year or two. There are 2 things that MUST be checked on systems with BSOD's and SSD's:
1) That the SSD firmware is the latest available for the SSD
2) That the storage controller drivers on the motherboard are the most recent. They must date from late 2012 or later. This is ALL controllers, not just the one that the SSD is attached to.

This device cannot start:
Microsoft Visual Studio Location Simulator Sensor ROOT\WPD\0000 This device cannot start.
Please uninstall Microsoft Visual Studio while we're troubleshooting (I've had issues with this in my Win8 installation also). Feel free to reinstall it once the system has been stabilized.

You have several Live Kernel Events in the WER section of MSINFO32. These may be significant (?hardware problems?) since there are also random BSOD error codes in this section also, so please provide this report:
Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc)
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

Samsung Magician software for their SSD-series confirm that my firmware is up-to-date.

All Windows updates are installed. Also optionals.

Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate is now uninstalled. I wonder why this 'Simulator Sensor' is reporting an error in device manager everytime I install VS.

I've uploaded the event log as you requested.

Thanks for your time and effort.

The admin log shows lot's of issues with your OS and with the drive. I'm not familiar with SSD's, so I'm unsure if this is significant or not - the error is that write-cacheing is enabled and you may experience data loss.

I would suggest that you finish the hardware tests.
If they pass, then I'd suggest a "clean" install of Windows: Canned Speeches

If it still occurs, then I'd suggest a "clean" install of Windows on a platter based HDD. This'll serve to rule out issues with the SSD. There is no need to activate this installation as it's only temporary (and, if needed, you can always activate it later on).

Could it be possible that overheating is a factor here? I see reference to the processor speed being limited by the firmware. You can use this free tool to monitor temps: HWMonitor CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting
