Hello,

It is my first time in eight forums so hi everyone! anyway today I encountered the "bad_pool_caller"" error and the windows 8 restarted, when it happened battlefield 3 was loading as minimized while I was installing K-Lite Codec Mega It was not even installing rather it in the middle of the setup process where I was selecting things to install, before this I can confirm a bit of a constant lag on IE so I switched to google chrome for battlefield battlelog and yeah I was installing k-lite codec when this suddenly came up. So I will upload my BSOD dump file here for you to help me figure out the cause of this badpoolcaller error. I went to the folder to check and I had only 1 dump file and so yeah I want to mention I highly suspect this might be because of some hardware driver issue, I don't know please help me out here guys.

Regards,
Faisal

Edit: Added SF Diagnostic Tool Result Zip

Edit 2: I highly suspect that my Realtek Pci GBE Family Controller is the main culprit as I might remember it from being in windows 7 also I can say I updated all my driver from my motherboards website (the latest ones) but still because gigabyte as they are still don't put up the latest ones, every other good 3rd party driver software app are always suggesting my drivers as being out dated 99% of time only for Realtek Audio and Realtek Pcie GBE LAN driver. Please See the screenshot in the Link below the scan by iObit DriverBooster (This is after having latest updates from gigabyte website):
But as always before your analysis of my dump and knowing what actually caused this error we cannot be sure and blame anything.
According to Gigabyte Driver Centre All my Drivers are updated & This was my first error regarding anything using windows 8 single language 64bit since I install it a week ago everything is fine I actually think win8 is superior to win7 in some aspects being a long time user of win7.

Check to make sure that you have ALL available Windows Updates

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disc-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Gigabyte's EasyTune6 (ET6) is known to cause BSOD's - please uninstall it.
If you also have EasySaver installed, please remove that also

There is an unknown driver in your C:\Windows\System32\drivers directory named aoi2kckl.SYS Although it's listed in the dump files, there is no record of it in the reports that you submitted. I also find no record of it using Google or Bing. It does follow the pattern for Daemon Tools dynamic drivers ( Driver Reference Table - a-------.SYS ) It's probably a Daemon Tools driver, but just in case, please scan your system for malware using one of these free scans: Free Online AntiMalware Resources

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

aoi2kckl.SYS - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed.
