System crashes for unknown reasons, please help me

Hi all,

I've just built up a new computer last week, and it's been giving me really hard times so far.

The problem is that it will crash randomly, for no obvious reasons. For most of the time, it crashes when I'm using the internet browser, i.e. chrome. I can play battelfield 3 for 4 hours and with no problem and crashes when I quit the game. Sometimes it crashes 4 times an hour and sometimes it runs for a couple of hours.

I do notice that the mouse is not quite smooth and the computer usually crashed when the mouse was very sluggish. I'm using a logitech m510 and I've found that someone had problems with logitech's drivers, could that be a problem? I've tried to check the dmp files but all they can tell me are I have some problems with the drivers. One thing I noticed is that every time I get in to the desktop, there's the sound that tells me some devices are unplugged. I've checked my device manager, and the only problematic thing I can find are the logitech driver interface(s).

My system is installed on an SSD which came from my old computer, but I've completely formatted it and then installed fresh win8 on it, two times. I'm really baffled right now and really depressed. If anyone can help me, please take a look at my dmp files and tell me what should be done, thank you!

The reports from the data collection app are incomplete. Please rerun the app and let it run for at least 15 minutes (or until the app itself tells you it's done). Then zip it up and upload it with your next post.

Out of 16 memory dumps there were 8 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers)
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

Please start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

Arg4: 0010000000000000, Reserved
The reference count of an object is illegal for the current state of the object.
Each time a driver uses a pointer to an object the driver calls a kernel routine
to increment the reference count of the object. When the driver is done with the
pointer the driver calls another kernel routine to decrement the reference count.
Drivers must match calls to the increment and decrement routines. This bugcheck
can occur because an object's reference count goes to zero while there are still
open handles to the object, in which case the fourth parameter indicates the number
of opened handles. It may also occur when the object?s reference count drops below zero
whether or not there are open handles to the object, and in that case the fourth parameter
contains the actual value of the pointer references count.

BugCheck Info: REFERENCE_BY_POINTER (18)
Arguments:
Arg1: fffffa800c7f6080, Object type of the object whose reference count is being lowered
Arg2: fffffa800f201890, Object whose reference count is being lowered
Arg3: 0000000000000001, Reserved

Whoa! I have no idea what the actual cause is here. The reports will help us to rule out problems. This could be a simple as a missing Windows Update, or as complicated as a broken motherboard.

If the RMA time period is about to run out, then feel free to RMA it "just in case", but there's no assurances that this will fix the problem. Again, I need the reports to see if I can pin it to something. A motherboard problem is one of the most difficult things to troubleshoot - and it does take time to isolate it.

I just got a new ssd and had installed and run my system on that device only, but the problem's still there, so this is not likely to be caused by malware IMO. If it's caused by a faulty driver, which I'm afraid the most, then that driver should show up in the dmp files and for most of the time that should be the cause, right?

I did noticed that I have trouble installing drivers for storage controller, I tried to force the system to install the driver from the manufacturer but that doesn't work after I restarted. can this be a problem? my current storage controller's driver is the windows one and the one to install is the intel's driver.

I'll attach the new report later, thank you!

Drivers don't always show up in memory dumps. Take this scenario as an example:
- the bad driver writes to the memory space owned by another driver.
- the bad driver then exits
- the other (good) driver looks in it's memory space and doesn't find the expected data there - so it crashes.
Since the bad driver has exited, there's no trace left of it in the memory dump.

The problem with the storage controllers can be significant. What is the exact error message/symptom that you receive?
