Solved Windows 8 Pro Bsod issues

Just recently built my first pc. Installed windows 8 on boot ssd. I'm getting these strange BSODs every few days or so. I did a slight overclock on my GPU recently, but I got the same stop messages before i even overclocked it. I don't think it's a cooling issue; I've never seen my cpu or gfx card go above 40C except when stress testing. Any assistance or advice would be appreciated.

Specs:
Asus Z87 Pro
4770k
Sapphire Radeon 7970
16GB G-Skill Sniper 1600mhz
128 and 250g samsung 840 pro ssd
1tb WD caviar black mechanical drive
Coolermaster Silent gold 800W psu
Corsair H110 CPU Cooler

Please stop any overclock while we're troubleshooting. Even if the overclock doesn't seem to be the cause, there are many different reasons that the overclock could be causing the error (that may not be evident). Also, our troubleshooting is based on a system being at stock values, so it works best that way. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

You have 3 hard drives. What is the make/model/wattage and age of your Power Supply?

SSD's were temperamental when they first came out, but their reliability has improved greatly over the last year or two. There are 2 things that MUST be checked on systems with BSOD's and SSD's:
1) That the SSD firmware is the latest available for the SSD
2) That the storage controller drivers on the motherboard are the most recent. They must date from late 2012 or later. This is ALL controllers, not just the one that the SSD is attached to.

MSI Afterburner (along with Riva Tuner and EVGA Precision) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install it immediately!

The last 2 memory dumps blame AsUpIO.sys - an Asus hardware monitoring software. As there were many instances of Asus AISuite in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report, I'd start by suspecting that. Please uninstall it to see if that stops the BSOD's

The last 2 memory dumps are Driver Verifier enabled memory dumps. If you have enabled Driver Verifier, please disable it now. To do this, open up verifier.exe and select "Delete existing settings", the click on "Finish" - reboot for the changes to take effect.

There are temporary drivers loading out of your appdata folders - not (IMO) a good idea. They're also present in every BSOD, so it makes them suspect. Make sure that you scan your system for malware. I have a list of free scans here: Free Online AntiMalware Resources

Search your system for files that date from Sat Jul 26 09:29:37 2008 (that's the date of the drivers). If you find them, please let us know the path to the files, the file name, and the information from the Details tab (right click and select Properties). What we're looking for is some sort of identification of the file so we can associate it with a program on your computer.

The rest of the memory dumps show STOP 0x124 errors. This is usually a low-level/hardware error. Here's my canned speech about this sort of error:
They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers)
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

You can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics if you'd like - they are located here: Hardware Diagnostics

Here's a sample of the errrec for the STOP 0x124 errors (just included for information, there's nothing to do with it):

Thank you for the prompt reply. I've removed both the AI Suite III and MSI Afterburner as requested. I'm going to start the hardware diagnostics as soon as possible, starting with Memtest. I've run stress tests on my CPU and GPU before with no issues from either.

My PSU is an 800W Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold; model no: RS-800-80GA-D3. It was newly purchased a month ago along with all my other components.

Everything was good in Memtest. I figured it was a driver issue so I wiped my boot drive and did a fresh install with all the drivers. So far 15 hours in and no BSOD.
