Sorry. I did everything as told. Device was hidden, proceeded to delete it, was not visible anymore after that, rebooted with my monitor plugged in the GPU (Geforce) and black screen appeared again.

Maybe i dont quite understand the "default VGA driver " part..

Now, I understand but your short answer never revealed if the entries were present. Unfortunately, I'm just about out of "easy to try" ideas at this point. Now, coupled with the fact that you were able to boot with an alternative hard drive, it now appears to be a corrupt installation, and given you have been doing some testing before the failure, I have no more ideas other than to suggest a refresh:

    Refresh Windows 8

    Good luck.

I tried googling and so far i've tried a command explained on this website
Fix - The drive where Windows is installed is locked

unfortunately, that did not seem to work. Do I have to be in safe mode or something ?

Any ideas on what to do to unlock my drive ?

I think it's like... Write blocked or something, but it can't be because I can operate normally in windows. I just can't do the sfc scannow and dism commands... It's weird but seems to be a known bug in windows 8

From what I read on Google, this is a tough one.

Have you tried all the options in Advanced Startup in computer settings ?

Can you boot into BIOS ?

Maybe changing the boot sequence would help ????

It would be nice if someone on the forum with better knowledge of this situation would jump in & help.

My monitor is a Xstar 27" 1440p. It has been running on overclock from 60hz to 100hz, without any problems.
    I really hope so.

Try it on 60hz again with reinstalled graphic drivers.

The fact that the screen turns black after booting suggests that the new resolutions modes / drivers get into action but they fail at some point. This thing can also happen if you messed with the theme files and some bad theme was applied.
