Hello first of all a quick introduction my name is Erik and i am new to Windows 8.
I recently installed 8 maybe 2 weeks ago the professional edition that i purchased. And i encountered a new problem.
Usually every morning i wake up from leaving computer on i wake up to Verifying pool data and it doesn,t boot until
i restart the computer. I have my Dump files and I'm going to post them. I like windows 8 a lot and wouldn't want to
go back to 7. I would be thankful in any kind of help Thanks, Erik

The uploaded reports are't complete. Please rerun the collection app and let it run for at least 15 minutes (or until the app itself tells you that it's done). Then zip it up and upload it with your next post.

Your BIOS dates from 2011. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

Your Acronis program dates from 2011 - please make sure that it's a version that's compatible with Win8 (the oldest driver dates from July of 2011, Win8 was released on 26 Oct 2012).

One of the memory dumps blames your ATI video drivers.
Please update them to help rule this out. If they are already the latest version; please uninstall them and then install a freshly downloaded copy (to help rule out any corruption).

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

SSD's were temperamental when they first came out, but their reliability has improved greatly over the last year or two. There are 2 things that MUST be checked on systems with BSOD's and SSD's:
1) That the SSD firmware is the latest available for the SSD
2) That the storage controller drivers on the motherboard are the most recent. They must date from late 2012 or later. This is ALL controllers, not just the one that the SSD is attached to.

Your Intel RAID storage driver (iaStorV.sys) dates from before mid-2013 (actually from 2011) and should be updated. Try this driver (I got this link on 10 Jul 2013):
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/De...rapid+Storage+Technology+(Intel+RST)&lang=eng
Use the SetupRST.exe file - the other 2 are the "preinstall" drivers for use when first installing an OS that doesn't have these drivers. If it doesn't install, post back and I'll research it further.

VIA High Definition Audio is disabled. Is this deliberate? If so, why?

I disabled the VIA high definition audio due to some Bf3 sound loop issues that caused computer to need a hard restart.
Thanks i think its time to update my mobo with new processor. Sometimes its kind of hard to find compatible drivers when the mobo is older. And i tried using the SetupRST.exe but it says that this Platform is not supported. Thanks man i appreciate your guy's hard work to get these problems fixed.

Are the BSOD's still happening? If so, zip up the contents of C:\Windows\Minidump and upload it with your next post.

Have you completed all the things that I suggested? If not, please list those that have been completed (and any results).

Yes im still having the BSOD's. I deleted my ATI drivers and updated them with the most recent release. I also deleted my Acronis just to see if that was my problem but still having the issue. That driver update for my Intel Raid Storage wasn't able to install because when i do try it it says platform is not supported. But i did provide the most recent Dump files. Im starting to believe its the iaStorV.sys but cant seem to find the update for it since u did say its early 2011 version. Thanks Keep me updated

IMO this is more likely caused by your Creative SB card than the iaStorV.sys driver.
Please either update the sound card drivers to a more recent, Win8 compatible version - or uninstall the sound card software and physically remove the card (just temporarily - in order to test).

In researching the iaStorV.sys driver, I find that your motherboard doesn't support Win8. As such, there's no guarantee that we'll be able to make this work for you.

As for the iaStorV.sys driver - there are conflicting stories about it on the internet. The copy on my system (Win8 x64) is dated 26 July of 2012. I can't recall if I got this from Windows Update or from Intel.

Please visit Windows Update to see if there's an optional Intel update available that contains this driver.

I have downloaded numerous versions of the Intel RST and Matrix drivers (from the Intel website) and none appear to have this driver. I suspect that the internet stories about this being a default Microsoft driver might be true.

Just checked my brand new laptop for it - it's never been to Intel's download site and it has the 26 Jul 2012 version on it. This means that it's either from Windows Update or from Samsung (the laptop is a Samsung). So, IMO it's most likely that it's from Windows Update.

There are other options (such as stopping the driver from loading), but IMO they're not justifiable as there's no evidence that this is a problem with the storage sub-system, let alone the Intel drivers. In other words, let's just leave the iaStorV.sys driver alone if you can't update it through Windows Update.
