    DPC_watchdog_violation is giving me headaches

I have been using about a week to find out what was wrong, after I installed two new SSD's in RAID 0 it began to happen. I have tried installing windows 7, 8 and 8.1 with RAID and AHCI interface on any of my hdd's or ssds while plugged to the computer, any drive gave the same bsod. The diagnosis I have here is from a dumpfile after I plugged my laptops hdd to the pc to try if that worked, and it obviously didn't. I have singled out that the RAM is perfectly operating, the CPU is perfectly operating, the OS properly loads in any SATA interface that it is installed on, cables have been replaced with spare ones, BIOS has both been flashed and updated and any spare USB devices has been disconnected along with soundcard, hdd's not in use and drivebay.

It is giving me serious headaches and I don't have a clue what is wrong with my PC.

Even the dumpfile tells me that System is the process that triggered the BSOD, I just don't know anymore!
I never thought I would get this confused with an error on my PC.

I hope you can help me!

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

FYI - the process involved in the dump has nothing to do with what caused the dump. On rare occasions it can be useful when a string of BSOD's all blame the same process - but if it's a Windows process then we have to ask if it's a 3rd party driver misbehaving in the Windows process address space.

If a critical Windows process (such as "System") is misbehaving, then you'll see lot's more problems other than the occasional BSOD. As such we focus our attention on 3rd party (non-Windows) drivers when first starting to troubleshoot BSOD's.

Your BIOS dates from 2009. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

The drivers for theses devices aren't installed, please install them:
Not Available ACPI\ENE0100\4&18D15E3&0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
A309 USB\VID_07CA&PID_A309\302053103029000 The drivers for this device are not installed.
The first one is most likely your ENE CIR Receiver (InfraRed receiver). The second one is most likely your Integrated Digital TV Tuner (DVB-T).

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [S] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/S] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).

Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help
Interestingly, the dumps blame this Windows USB networking driver: usb8023x.sys
Windows drivers aren't usually to blame, so the first questions are:
    - what USB devices are connected to the system?
    - what networking devices are being used on the system?

While waiting for your answer to the above, I suggest you run this fix:
Please run the following DISM commands to see if there's any problems with the system (from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt). Press Enter after each one:
    Code:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    Code:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
If the problem is fixable, you can use this command to repair i (from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt). Press Enter after typing it:
    Code:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
From this article: Repair a Windows Image
Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

FYI - the first 8 are difficult to find and probably aren't worth the effort to update. If you don't have an nVidia chipset, the next 2 (the nVidia one's - nvstor.sys and nvraid.sys) probably aren't worth updating either. The last 3 must be updated if available. If not available, let us know so we can research more current versions.

    Windows 8.1 & 8 x64

Ok, for starters I have today started the pc up again, and in some magical way it hasn't been triggering any BSOD after installing win8 on a single SSD /w AHCI mode active. Since then I have made a proper clean install in RAID and it is still working.

Second, I am pretty sure that some of the diagnostics didn't consider that it was taken from a used laptop hdd, and not a new clean install, as I can stand behind having updated the bios. Sorry for having it mixed up, but I had to, as my pc wasn't able to run for long enough a time to do the diagnose itself, so I plugged the hdd back into the laptop before starting the diagnostics. The laptop is old and hasn't had any firmware updates in a very long time.

When I will get the bsod again, which I will guess could be soon, I will come back with a proper diagnostic.

I went through the fix that you told me to do, and it found no problems.

Thanks for the help! It was much appreciated to have a little guidance, I will bump the thread when I get the bsod again, but it usually happened about 1-10 minutes into boot, and it has been running for about 6 hours now.. so it might have mysteriously disappeared, much to my annoyance, since it would be nice to find the cause of it.
