BSOD (Driver_Power_State_Failure) in Windows 8. Unknown ca

I've scoured the threads here and have determined that much of the trouble can be traced back to a particular driver. However, I am unsure how to find the driver in my case, as it seems that it is a different source for each individual. Thus, I shall provide some information in hopes that someone here will help me with my troubles.

I (should) have provided my dump data in a zip folder attached to this post. I am currently using a 10-year-old (hand me down) PC that I installed Windows 8 on. When I boot the machine, it loads the BIOS and begins to load the OS before my monitor loses contact and says "No data detected" and shuts down. If I leave the tower on long enough, it will blue screen and say DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. At this point, it will restart and the computer will operate normally.

I would like to have some help in tracking down this problem so that I may be able to fix it. Any help please? If you need any additional information I'll be glad to provide it.

First, please understand that this system may not be able to handle Win8 - even if you were able to install it. I have a Lenovo tablet (it came with Vista) and the BIOS dates from 2008 - and it can't run Win8 very well. It had so many problems that I had to retire it and am now saving up for a new system.

Your BIOS dates from 2005. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

You only have 140 mB of RAM free. Please upgrade your RAM (if possible). While waiting to upgrade the RAM, remove all unneeded startup items (use the Startup tab in Task Manager) and only run 1 program at a time.

You have a wireless USB network adapter:
I do not recommend using wireless USB network devices. Especially in Win7/Win8 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7(and I suspect with Win8) - using Vista drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have Win7/Win8 drivers - DO NOT use Vista drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.

The BSOD reports tend to blame Windows components. Since the system seems to be up to date on Windows Updates, it's most likely that this is a compatibility issue between the hardware and Win8. Please be sure to get the latest, Win8 compatible chipset drivers for your system from nVidia.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Most likely a Broadcom wireless driver. If it belongs to the USB wireless adapter it needs to be un-installed.

Thanks so much. I'll get to it and let you know how it goes when I get home tonight.
Yeah, I'm not sure how to deal with the RAM issue. I have 4GB installed, but only 2GB are being recognized. The OS sees this, but I don't know how to "unlock" the other 2GB.

Well, I was able to find updates for the NVidia drivers, and the problem is still happening. Hmm...well at least that's better now.
