Hi all for the past few days i have gotten a wired random freeze were my KYB wont respond, but i can still move the mouse on the screen but cant do anything because i'm in metro mode and nothing responds to the mouse. Like today i left my browser on, i forgot about it cam back to the computer frozen with me only able to move the mouse. Not even dragging the window to the bottom of screen,to exit metro would even work. I have updated all drivers and even ran my hardware diagnostic, software from Dell and all hardware checks out ok. The Only new stuff i have installed is the bing desktop and the updates from windows. I have used Google chrome browser since it came out and never had a issue but, that dont mean it wont start not sure what else it could be. I got one BSOD and it was due to my video card drivers. i have since uninstalled and used the tool dell told me to use to ride of driver problems and re-installed drivers no more BSOD. Any ideas all i'm at a lose as to what it could be all virus scans come up negative. superantispyware also says it is negative as well. Oh one more thing this freeze forces me to shut down with power button as only option.

Sorry, but I didn't get notified of your reply.

Your wireless device is disabled. Is this deliberate? If so, why?

This BSOD blames nvhda64v.sys - a driver for nVidia High Definition Audio (a part of your nVidia chipset drivers).
Please:
- download a fresh set of the nVidia chipset drivers from the manufacturer's website
- uninstall the current nVidia drivers from your system
- install the freshly downloaded drivers
- monitor for further BSOD's

Also, Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

this one NTIOLib_X64.sys is part of my dell msi ODD monitor system file it says its up to date according to dell.
the Secunia PSI i can update wow i was unaware it was outdated you would think they can update it lol.
this
PxHlpa64.sys is in the C:\Windows\System32\Drivers folder with no way of updating it and i dont have any of those programs listed?. SUPERAntiSpyware reports all is updated i just checked with its updater not sure how i would go about doing the update if none available?. and these 2 files say there in my file repository what is that ? here is the 2 LHidFilt.Sys LMouFilt.Sys.
oh yea i disabled the dell wireless as i dont use it i'm hardwired should i keep it enabled? OH yeah the nvidia drivers i updated those after i got that BSOD as dell told me it may be the cause. as faar as my random freezing issue what could it be?

If there's an update available for the wireless - enable it, update it, disable it again.
Drivers may still load if a driver is disabled in Device Manager.

To test the Dell MSI ODD monitor system, remove it temporarily and see if it stops the BSOD's
To test the SuperAntiSpyware, remove it temporarily and see if it stops the BSOD's

Don't worry about PxHlpa64.sys for now - it is less likely to cause problems than the others, and is a PITA to remove.

Uninstall your Logitech SetPoint software, then download a fresh copy of the latest, Win8 compatible version from the Logitech website.

Then wait for further BSOD's.
I find that freezing issues are best dealt with after the BSOD issues. If you don't get a BSOD in 2 days (approximately), then we'll start of the freezing issues.

If still freezing in 2 days:
1) submit a new set of the BSOD reports (even though you're not having BSOD's)
2) Also please submit this:
Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc)
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).
FYI - troubleshooting the freezes is often more difficult than the BSOD's. Please don't generate the reports until you're ready to post themr - the more info in the reports, the better it is for troubleshooting.
