hi all,

My Asus Notebook got BSOD recently, the BSOD appears when i play games (MMO#Dragon Nest) and usually

when i play a 720p Video *idk if it related with the P* I use ThrottleStop 5.0

View attachment 22776

that's my settings and when i played 720p videos it goes up at 60-63 max,

i have run memtest86+ for my two slot RAMs separately , no errors, i replace the thermal paste for CPU and VGA

the BSOD come in 2 form, the first one is this error i attach, the other is WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE error but it

does says 0x124 error too... can you at least tell me which hardware is faulty, do you think it's HDD or

MotherBoard maybe?

thanks, any comment will be appreciated

I'm sorry for not answering sooner, but I've been babysitting my 10 day old grandson and that doesn't allow for much time online. :0)

STOP 0x124 (WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR) is usually a hardware error - but can be caused by issues with low-level drivers.
More info on this error here: BSOD Index

Please remove AnchorFree HotSpot Shield - it is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.

The drivers for your CPU are disabled. Is this deliberate? If so, why? Please be sure to install the latest, Win8 compatible drivers for your chipset (which will include the CPU drivers). In case the system might be infected, please try these free scans: Free Online AntiMalware Resources

Please remove the program associated with this driver:
WinRing0x64.sys Sat Jul 26 09:29:37 2008 (488B26C1)
many different programs that center around the using of the WinRing libraries (RealTemp, Corsair Link2 (known BSOD issues w/Win8), Razer GameBooster, etc)
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=WinRing0x64.sys

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

i can't remove JRSUKD25.SYS View attachment 22873it came from that program but when i try to uninstall it show me that error. and about HECIx64.sys View attachment 22874that what i get from the site and i can't do anything about it. my intel driver is disabled because the other time intelppm.sys got BSOD on me, so i googled it and found a way to disable it from registry

I would strongly suggest undoing that registry edit for the intelppm.sys driver. It is most likely causing problems with your system - and the driver is needed in order for the CPU to function properly.

I think that HotSpot Shield is the most likely cause - but it's possible that other driver issues (such as the intelppm.sys one and/or the WinRing0x64.sys) can be contributing to it.

DO NOT delete the driver - it may make your system unbootable. Leave it be for now. If needed, I'll provide detailed instructions on how to safely remove it later on.

This is the most current version of the Management Engine (HECIx64.sys): https://downloadcenter.intel.com/De...ldID=22597&keyword=management+engine&lang=eng

If the system won't stabilize when running Prime95 - you have cooling issues and will need to fix them before moving on. Also, it's likely that stressful activities on the system are causing the CPU to overheat - thereby causing BSOD's.

can't remove JRSUKD25.SYS please tell me how to..

i don't know about my CPU, i've changed the paste but still remains the same after doing prime95, maybe is intel defective?

got an error after using your link"This is the most current version of the Management Engine (HECIx64.sys):https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...ngine&lang=eng"

it says my laptop doesn't have the minimum requirement for installing that software

Please wait to see if the system BSOD's again.
If it does, zip up and upload the contents of C:\Windows\Minidump and upload it with your next post.

If the JRSUKD25.sys driver remains a possible problem - then I'll give the instructions. I don't like to remove drivers just because they're suspicious - I want to see that they're definitely involved in the crash before doing this.

If you've changed the paste on your CPU - then there's an issue with:
- contact between the cooler and the CPU (all the paste in the world won't fix an improperly seated cooler)
- clogged cooler (blow all vents out with canned air - DO NOT use a vacuum or an air compressor as they can cause damage)
- slow fan - (does the fan have speed control? If so, bump it up a notch or two)
- restricted airflow (ensure that the laptop is being used on a hard surface and with a cooling pad)

Use this free monitor ( HWiNFO, HWiNFO32 & HWiNFO64 - Hardware Information and Analysis Tools ) - it'll tell you the temps of all sensors on the system.
Take a screenshot so we can see it (Don't use the report, I can't read it :( ) If possible take a shot while doing something that will normally cause a BSOD.

This one is a STOP 0x124 It's usually a hardware error and is generated by the CPU (not by Windows).
As such, I'd suggest these free diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

In particular, be sure to run Prime95 with all 3 tests (Blend, Small FFT, Large FFT) and also run the CPU stress tests.
Run the rest of the tests also, but I think that Prime95 and the CPU tests will be the most telling.

Once you've run all of the hardware tests, post back with the results.
If the BSOD's continue at that point - then we'll go back to working with the drivers (my biggest concern is with the HECIx64 driver - as I've seen Windows Updates for this driver recently).

Bouncing around changing different things randomly only makes it harder to figure out what the problem is. I understand that you want it fixed as fast as is possible, but using a standard approach to isolate the problem will yield better results.

If you just can't wait to fix it, the fastest way is:
1) a "clean" install of Windows: Canned Speeches
2) if the BSOD's persist after that, then it's time to run:
Hardware Diagnostics
3) if that doesn't point to a problem, then do this: Hardware Stripdown Troubleshooting

You found what is most likely a hardware problem while running Prime95.

Memtest will help to see if it's a RAM problem.
The CPU stress tests will help to see if it's a CPU problem (either CPU cache or the memory controller).

The results of these tests will tell us where to go next.
