Hello all,
After attempting to self-troubleshoot this issue on and off for months to no avail, I've decided to ask for a bit of help here. I've been receiving very, very frequent BSODs (averaging about 3-4 per hour as of recent) on my computer whenever browsing the web, starting up, listening to music, or even while letting it sit idle. These errors have brought up messages ranging from system_service_exception to memory_management, bad_spool_header (I don't remember the name of that one exactly) and page_fault_in_nonpaged area as well as a myriad of others. Googling the error made me think the issue might be with the drivers in my computer being incompatible with particular Windows Updates, but when I've gone into the Control Panel to uninstall the updates I hear about online, I find that I don't even have them installed. Another fix I tried was updating the drivers for my processor/graphics card (AMD Phenom II / ATI Radeon ----) but I found that the installer kept crashing my computer as well.
I have no idea what triggers these errors or why they pop up so frequently - all of this crashing has only began happening as soon as I upgraded to the full version of Windows 8 from the beta around December. The crashing got so bad about a week ago that I refreshed the computer, hence why the attached logs only go up until May 11th. My computer is an HP rig that I have replaced the motherboard/processor/RAM of, so I guess you could say it's basically a self-built computer, if it turns out this might be a hardware issue (though I doubt it, since this computer was put together in July and had been working fine from July until December!)
Additionally, Google Chrome has been crashing like no other using this computer - errors when loading pages or even just opening Chrome ranging from a full browser crash to individual tabs or extensions crashing. I tried installing Firefox thinking it might have been a browser issue today, but posting from Firefox now, Firefox has crashed seven times (with 4 BSODs) in the course of me typing this post - that's about 30 minutes. Windows Media Player also crashes every time I use it after an hour or two of it being open.
I'm a college student with finals coming up soon so I would really, really appreciate if someone could help me figure out what's wrong with my computer before I start losing my papers and notes.
Thank you for your time.
