Hey guys,

So I've been getting random BSOD's almost daily whenever the computer is idle.

I've used the debugger tool and looked at the dump files and it says pci.sys is the problem so I updated my laptops drivers and it's still having issues.

I've attached the required file below, thanks for the help in advance.

System One

  • OS
    Windows 8
In your power settings see if its set to Hibernate or Sleep after that hour.

Sometimes the Hiberfil.sys gets corrupt and when windows tries to edit that file it BSOD

Youll have to delete it from safemode

Just my 2¢ - but the memory dumps point to netr28x.sys - a driver component of your wireless networking device
Please:
- download a fresh copy of the latest Win8 compatible drivers from the manufacturer's website
- uninstall the current drivers from your system
- install the freshly downloaded drivers
- monitor for further BSOD's

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
